  1. The merging of easy/normal mode was an excellent move in my opinion. The playerbase is more consolidated and unified now, as the developer pointed out a marker for friendlies is now available but only when aiming at one, meaning players still have to learn how to distinguish teams, and will eventually do so. The only other real training wheel aspect of easy mode was the crosshair and that simply had to go in a competitive game like this. New players now play with other new players and utilize the minimal training wheels to have a much easier transition against higher level players.

  2. Nothing wrong with that OP so long as you're contributing, I do it all the time too with my Mk-I EMR and SPAR 17 with a bipod and Scope 4. A lot of people don't expect players to cautiously run down the flanks and end up behind them on some hill 400m away popping people, that's the beauty of this game and the clash gamemode specifically. I LOVE that there's no bullcrap "out of bounds" boundaries or anything like that, the entire map is there for you to use and exploit how you see fit, I love it when people insult me over my "campy" playstyle, it means I'm doing something right.

    I take that as a no !

ANY Form of Communication going out from the Dev team ?

Ghetto repeatedly creates topics over and over for the simplest of things, instead of posting in the official forum for reporting players he feels the need to create a new topic everytime he suspects a player is walking funny or lagging or exploiting a glitch. He always states he has video evidence but instead of posting it all in the official forum to make things easier he simply withholds it.

He also asks a million questions and they get answered almost every single time by a forum mod or dev but in spite of this he still feels the need to shout that no one is paying attention to him again and again. The result is a clogged forum with the same user bringing in a bad attitude over and over

  4. News Page:

    Hello Mercenaries,
we are adding small hotfix to address the issue some of our players are experiencing with loging in.

    Hotfix Size: 19.4 MB

What will happen now is that if you are unable to login you will receive a message saying why.

Also a disclaimer, we are aware that Leadeboards are "frozen" at this point, and it is so on purpose as we are working on them.

We are now working hard on delivering the next big update.

    Stay tuned!

From what I have seen on this forum, you are mostly posting about how everything is horrible and treating people badly. I fully understand and encourage people to have opinions, I don't think insulting developers is a way to go.

I don't think everything is horrible, I think the game is overall fun, I enjoy the progression system which many people seem to hate or find unbalanced, I just think the game isn't retaining players very well (which is a fact) due to engine limitations, and I think the game is plagued with bugs (which is a fact) which can be frustrating and even game breaking.

I will fully admit me calling the developers incompetent was venting and not how I really feel, and as such will apologize. I don't think the developers are incompetent at all.

Seems like DMR 1 is the first serious weapon for any play-style (Sniper to CQC).  Due to its accuracy and power and scope options, it stands alone in comparison to how fast a person drops with other weapons or equal or lesser level.  Among the other weapons of equal or lower level, what is better is sometimes oddly... unpredictable.  I am very analytical in my approach to things.  I will take every weapon I use and see how it works in all sorts of situations - CQC, mid-range and long range.  Different fire modes... with or without bipod, diff scopes, etc.

I don't mind the ability to have specialized play styles and different roles.  But as it is, I think anyone who knows what they are doing will gravitate to a very few select guns/roles.  Some (like me) will play other guns and roles.  I get bored doing just one thing; even if it is the more powerful, easier to kill with option.  : P

The first rung of DMR's are definitely great, they play like Assault Rifles that can reach out and 2-3 hit kill people across the map

vote kick works for me just fine. it needs 70% of the players to vote it though which can be a bit too much...

there is also an autokick for killing more than 2 people per round.

Source on the 70%? I've seen the entire lobby vote kick someone and nothing happen as I said. Also people regularly kill more than 2 teammates per round, I've observed no auto kick. Can you point to me any official word on these things?

  8. The unlocks are there to facilitate specialized playstyles and add customization. I worked hard to unlock the first ring of DMR's, and now I'm thoroughly enjoying adjusting my playstyle to them, my other friend decided to go down the LMG route and so he plays differently. If everything was unlocked from the start it would be the AK-12 and the same handful of weapons being used by everyone over and over.

  9. Never use any of the SMG's, 9mm=paintballs in any Bohemia Interactive games, use the starting AR's if you're just starting out.

Once you unlock something larger than 5.56/5.8/6.5 use it, anything 7.62 and larger in BI games is to be considered a handheld nuke

Any scopes outside of Sights II aren't really worth it, you don't really need larger than a 4x zoom in this game

Bipods aren't really needed, any gun (like the Navid) that really needs a bipod is likely to come with it already

AK-12 is the best gun in the game, just as in Arma 3

Never use the carbine/shortened variant of any gun

  10. All the game mods are competitive, Raid is basically what you're talking about. 5v5 with no respawn, one team has to secure intel and the the other defend it. What I think this game needs is some kind of skill based matchmaker now.

  11. I've been playing very on and off due to having pink eye and a rash on my cornea, my vision is awful right now, and I can still easily identify friend from foe, I haven't had a single friendly fire incident since I started playing bar one guy who ran right in front of my firing line. Flames wear tank tops, Clouds wear long sleeve green digital uniforms.

  12. I don't see how such a level is attainable with normal play unless someone has been playing quite literally 24/7 since release. I asked this question to two level 21's on a South American server, someone answered that they're "donators", I asked if donating meant you could get a higher level and then I was promptly kicked.

  13. The vote kick function doesn't work, we've had an entire game lobby all vote to kick a single player and nothing happened. That player then went on to accrue over -2000 points in Link teamkilling people before finally leaving. There's no way to kick them, there's no automatic kick for team killing x amount of people, and no one is willing to gain the harsh negative points penalty from killing the griefer.

  14. After updating my game to the legacy branch version to be able to play Tanoa, the performance has plummeted to unplayable levels. I'm getting 10-15 FPS on tanoa with all low settings. Previously I'd be able to play with medium-high settings and get 25-40 FPS. Has this been happening to anyone else?
