I've been running boot camp on my IMac 2015 to run this game for several months, I actually ran it extremely well for a hard five that was essentially split in half, I could get about 40 FPS in multiplayer on high settings, however I'm absolutely terrified to see how this runs on Mac, since I know it's a test build and every single Mac port of any game I've ever played has always ran at a lower graphical setting notch and at less frames than when I played it on the Windows portion of my hard drive

Because that would actually take effort. It's much easier to just let the community write AI scripts themselves and fix yet another broken aspect of this game, the AI on this game simply does not cut it unless it's very small scale firefights and even then it still feels awkward at best.

I care about the engine improvements, but the reality is that if this game did not have such a vibrant modding community doing the work that Bohemia Interactive should be doing this game would have sunk many moons ago. We put up with the absolute massive amount of flaws this game has just to play it because it's the only game on the market currently that offers a military simulator sandbox styled approach. Just like I put up with the even mechanically worse Iron Front 1944-1945 (WW2 standalone for Arma 2) just because it was the only WW2 game of it's kind. -
Can someone provide some sources or an explanation as to how counter measures work versus different AA systems (IR and Radar)? I'm deeply interested in learning this

That's funny, I've actually never felt more helpless in a video game, then when a decent pilot in a CAS jet starts destroying everything.

What does locking on with the 35mm autocannons of the ZSU-39 Tigris actually do? I notice that the distance indicator changes from whatever meter it's set at to "AUTO", I was reading up on real life SPAA like the Tunguska 9K33M and I realized that the gun could "theoretically" be locked on to enemy aircraft too, which made sense since trying to shoot down a fast moving helicopter or low flying plane/jet at thousands of meters by mere eyeballing of the main gun wouldn't be effective, is this same sort of thing modeled in Arma 3 too?

Opposite problem on my end, AI seem way too dumb half the time, even with ASR and TPW installed, AI still seem incapable of spotting each other down a road half the time, I think the issue is I need to increase the skill slider more. -

The issue was the new update broke the Arma in Arma mod, so I had to roll back my Arma to 1.48 and that fixed everything -
Figured out the problem, I had all in arma conversion on both of my collections, seems that the specific mod is pointless now

It is a very helpful program, when it works, however it unfortunately does not work for me more than it does. Either way it's not a bad mod that's the problem, as I've run these same collections of mods before my complete reinstall (due to other errors ironically). No matter what collection I launch, the game will simply hang at the screen with a greenish blueish background with Arma 3 in the middle, if I leave it for long enough the program will then crash. Of which I posted there as well.

Nvm, I fixed the error messages, but now I can't seem to get Arma 3 to properly launch, I've had play with six broken more times than it's working, no wonder the majority of Arma 3 community just agrees play with six is crappy -

I'm getting some serious errors whenever I open play with six now. I also cannot download any mods or move any mods to different collections but I am able to play with the mods I currently have installed. -

Vanilla Arma AI will always be bad outside of small infantry engagements.

Precisely why I use AI mods to fix what Bohemia Interactive could not, as per what we usually have to do in other areas of the game.

So after having installed my addons the incorrect way by placing them into the addons folder, I could no longer play online. So I reinstalled my Arma 3 hoping that would clean everything up but the pbo files I placed in there are still in there. So now I seek you guys for help, can someone send me a picture of the Arma 3 Addons folder of what it looks like with a completely vanilla game so that I could remove all the pbo files that do not pertain to it?

No recoil with automatic weapons?

I've noticed in IFA3 that there is literally no recoil for automatic weapons, I'm talking no recoil animation whatsoever, is this intended? Also the sounds are underwhelming, the smoke grenades are broken, and the reload animations still suck. This kind of content has so much potential but has yet to be fulfilled. -

Wow this went unappreciated it seems, I always hated having to hold down tab to zoom my sights in whilst right clicking to aim down sights, this seems like it'll take a load off my fingers, and I greatly appreciate this, will be installing shortly. Do you happen to have made this compatible outside of IFA3? -
Is it just me or does weapon damage seem WAY too low for any 5.56,5.45, and 6.5mm weapons? Often the enemy players will take 4-5 shots from these calibers before they are finally downed, is there any way to change this? If not are there any mods that allow for the control of damage from weapons?
