Mortem86 10 Posted July 22, 2010 (edited) Please give us the option to say certain squadmembers it is "safe". Why? Iam playing Warfare right now, 5 Soldiers are in actually Combat but putting the whole Squad into it. So my other 5 Squadmembers in the base and roughly 3km away, are crawling to the Chopper to get into it and are in actually Dangermode and i CANT set them to secure or safe so they crawaling around there with no reason the Danger is 3km away...what are they afraid of? Sunburn? Thats really annoying...in the time my 5 Soldiers getting into the Chopper...the Chopper is running out of fuel1 -.- Or is there such a command? To actually set Soldiers in combat to "safe"? rübe 118 Posted July 22, 2010 (edited) Regarding warefare, the major problem is that behaviour/combatMode/... are all set for and affect the whole group. If each fireteam (if not unit) could have it's own state, that would solve most of these problems - especially in a mode such as warefare. But unfortunately this is not the case and if a single unit from your group - 5km away from you acting as spotter - sees enemies, then your whole group is aware or even in combat-mode. So, no. There is no such command and if combat-mode kicks in automatically, then it affects your whole group. @Pufu: yeah sure, but you can say your guys it's safe until you're funny, they won't care if there are still some enemies around. And that's usually just fine, but if your group is split - which often happens in warefare - then it's a nightmare. Edited July 22, 2010 by ruebe
frederf 0 Posted July 22, 2010 Odd, I always was able to set my group safe and stand up and they would at least do that. They might still be "auto alerted" because there is a built in timer for a group not being aware of any enemy units until it goes "all clear." As for the completely ignoring enemies... that'd be combatStatus blue which is not one you can achieve through the normal interface but can be set via script.
