Ww2 weapons

Yea i just tried those wepons out.

Not too bad. Only a few things i found odd.

The M1 Garand fires way too slow. If youve seen Band of Brothers those are M1s and they can fire them really fast.

Thats pretty much all i found that was wrong. Overall Its not too bad.

Only thing i didnt like was the fact there's no *ping* sound after the m1 is out of ammo. Oh and the sights

yeah garand is semi-auto seems to be simulated to be bolt action in this, and it holds 8 rounds.  model looks a little thin but i might be wrong

BAR i think holds 20 and fires slower something like 240 RPM (rough estimations)

springfield is fine except i think the m21 scope would be better for it but that's just my opinion, and it would be cool if you heard the bolt action after the shot

thompson is fine

muzzle flash fix would be nice kinda ruins it for me.  not trying to be an asshole but incase he reads it just some suggestions that would make it more fun for me

Yea the M21 scope would have been better or a totally new scope.

The BAR does have 20 rounds i and think it fires the whole clip in like 6-7 secs (roughly).

One thing that would have been nice would have been some retextured soldiers.

It is a very nice addon though.

we finally have the Garand, the most beautiful rifle ever made. I've changed the sounds to imo better more realistic ones, created new units by adding the weapons to Dave Richardson's ww2 82nd airborne soldiers, and fixed some technical errors,

m1 now reloads correctly and holds 8rds

m1903 now uses m21 crosshairs

BAR now has 20rds to a mag

I couldn't fix the muzzle flash problem, if someone could that would be great.

I tried using that muzzle flash fix, the game would crash when I put that in the config.cpp. I'll keep trying though.

i like it but think the 350 RPM BAR would be better. 600 expends the clip way too fast and doesn't feel as fun. you plan on doing any german weapons next? MP40 and K98 could be mighty fun

i think i just used all his bandwidth smile.gif

i've seen it regered to STG-44 and MP-44 so maybe it's both (when you're losing a war maybe you don't take as much time with names) biggrin.gif

Where is my MG-42?

Untill recently and not counting the designs derived directly from it, the greatest machinegun ever.

You think 600rpm is too fast?

What about 1200?

There is a good reason why they called if Hitlers Chainsaw

Even a MG-34 would be great.

StG44 and MP44 are in fact the same gun, StG means Sturm*something*gewehr (assault rifle) I think.

600 RPM is too fast for something with a 20 round magazine smile.gif i think a MG-42 would be great for resistance forces and at the same time doubling as fun for WW2 buffs

I think MG-42 is in use in the Balkans. I remember seeing it in a weapon familiarisation leaflet. IIRC it was used by the Serbian VJ and was in an oddball caliber (maybe 7.92mm).

It is not an unlikely weapon for a guerillea force.

that's probably the MG-3 which i think is just basically a MG-42 built to take 7.62 nato rounds. i haven't done any research on it so someone correct me if i'm wrong

you don't need to ask someone to edit the file and keep it to yourself. no point in it.

Indeed, MG3 is 7.62 version of great MG42. But in the Balkans in use is rather yugoslavian M53, which shots standard 7.92 mm x 57 Mauser. This ammo is still in production.

Interesting there was a prototype called MG45 or MG42V, with rate od fire 2400 rpm.

StG means just SturmGewehr.

Yeah, I want MG42 and StG.44. But, most important, give me FG42!!!
