ARMA never uses 100% CPU or GPU full time so don't worry.

The CPU will get more loaded the more AI are in the mission.

On the last screen you are getting 59fps which is damn good.

???

Ok. this is not possible to play online and campaign 20-25 fps for the gpu problem.

In the image n.4 the gpu runs 70-80% an 60fps only on "editor"

Why on the mission the gpu runs 20-30% 20-25fps??

Where is the problem??

Sorry.My english is bad:(

CPU handles all AI calculations and GPU puts everything on the screen.

In empty editor there is NO CPU load so GPU runs at full speed = 60fps

In mission with lots of AI the CPU is working hard and GPU must wait for CPU to update screen = 20-25fps

This means your CPU is a bottleneck so this would be a good upgrade in future.

965 3,4GHz bottleneck??Incrdible!!!!

Other solutions??Maybe on .cfg??

Thanks for your help.

Another possible reason for this difference in Performance between a simple editor-mission and online-MP can be the performance of the server where you're playing. Often the servers are not optimized for big missions (Warfare, Dom e.g.).

That means if the server-FPS are low, you won't get any better performance because of this factor, although it would be possible.

I have never looked at GPU utilization nor have I ever even cared about it.

Don't get hung up on that.

Believe it or not, with a more powerful cpu, you would actually get a higher frame rate than you do. The Arma series is VERY cpu dependent. That's part of what makes the Armas so good - lots of AI calculations.

Get Ati Tray Tools and make Arma game profile. Force V-sync off. That "tweak" made the biggest performance impact for me.

Also I suggest you to get more ram.

First to market a game, complete it.

I spent about € 1000 to play decently at arma2

Is not possible play at 22-24 fps. Get to work, or write it on the DVD that the game has serious problems in the engine.

Is 1 years i try to resolve.I follow all advice, but without result.

Bye bye occasionally develop, and learn to work!

Today on Battlegroup-Xtra server

I just upgraded to the same CPU that you have from a Core2Duo 3 GHz and also didn't see a huge performance increase (~5-8 fps higher). But, the game is definitely smoother even with the lower FPS. I also OC'd my 965 to 3.9 GHz and saw even more improvement (3-5 fps avg.)

If you're still getting low FPS on multiplayer, chances are it's the server as it takes the majority of CPU power. The server I regularly play on gets 40-50fps easy; but when I play a singleplayer mission with lots of AI I get 20-30.
