There is no way to change the cap other than with external programs. vsync limits your FPS to your refresh rate. So if you have vsync enabled depending on the refresh rate you are using that will be your max FPS. At least thats what I always thought was the case, it was never a case of locking it to 60 FPS just for enabling vsync. liquidpinky 11 Posted July 20, 2010 I think he wants to reduce it to 40 somehow, a trick often used so you don't notice the drops below it as severe as it jumping form say 100 to 25 FPS.
