Need some help with latest beta and the Combined Version of ArmaII

Recommended Posts

To execute this version of the game my OA path is 'I:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2OA.exe'.

The beta instructions refer to this folder which doesn't exist with my version of the game - 'ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead'.

So I am confused as to where the beta patch will put everything.

I have the retail version, not the Steam version.

Anyone using the latest beta with the Combined Operations retail version

please tell me how the beta should be installed.

Thanks.

Your beta is in \ArmA2\Expansion\beta

This beta patch states that it will update the game to 1.52. But I am already at that version without ever having installed this beta.

The instructions for using folders do not match my game folders.

Ok ran the beta install and the beta is here -- \ArmA2\Expansion\beta

ARMA2_OA_Build_72107

Created a link to it and it just gets an error stating 'No entry '.profilePathDefault'.

What does that mean?

If I continue it just creates a screen with some different colored boxes.

And the short cut you HAVE to use to start the beta is in you main ArmA2 path.

That doesn't execute the beta executable.

Launching the game using this 'Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch' works!!

Did exactly the same thing ( created a short cut to the beta .exe.) and got the exact same error message.

You have to use the shortcut found in your ArmA2 folder to run the beta patched version but see you figured it out.

See, along with running the beta .exe, You need to be running the beta folder as a mod with the "-mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" parameter which the 'Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch' shortcut found in Your Arma2 directory has already in its parameters
