nuggetz 0 Posted July 15, 2010 What do I need to do to get a dedicated server up and running for combined ops?
terox 316 Posted July 17, 2010 (edited) Based on NON Steam version install OA into your A2 directory Patch A2 to 1.7 Patch OA to 1.52 Set up your server configs ( http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Server_configuration ) Launch the ArmA2OAserver.exe make sure all your missions include an addon entry to stop OA only clients from joining. (Known issue >> http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=102169 ) To help you do this either use SbSMac's tool >> http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=102271 or Deadfast's tool >> http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=102521 Edited July 17, 2010 by Terox
dMw_OldBloke 10 Posted July 17, 2010 Follow-on question (hope you don't mind, nuggetz) Hi all We have a couple of dedicated A2 servers running and I've been asked to put up a couple of OA servers to compliment them. I've uploaded the contents of my OA DVD to our server but when I try to install it it asks for the key. If I enter the key I have (from my personal retail copy) am I likely to cause any issues with duplication? If so, is there a way to get an OA dedicated up and running without having to go through the standard install process? Apologies for making my first post here a question :o OldBloke Dead Men Walking

Providing you run the arma2OAserver.exe, no mate, its the dedicated server.exe and duplication isn't affected by it

Taxman 10 Posted November 5, 2010 Custard matey,,, I believe that you havent got ARMA2 installed,,,, only OA and BAF, which means yours is an OA server and not Combined ops.... thats why the Ctf maps I sent you wont work on your server.
