that looks terrible fox. your gonna get heaps of interpenetration issues trying to copy and paste a new vest model over the old one.

I hope you are going to fix the issue and not just leave it as is ...

it has been somewhat fixed by properly doing selections (vest used to be all one), but im just using the arma 1 sf that icewindo ported as of right now (i broke my old model , which didn't have the stuff under it). I'm starting to delete whats under the vest as of right now though (since you can't really see it, it's just wasted).

tl;dr yes i will fix it

yeah that definitley looks better. How are you going to address the issue that he is now wearing 2 plate carrirers tho?

the 3 color cam colors look pretty good how ever the chocolate chip camouflage doesnt look like the one the US used, the lighter tones are coming off as to brown. You could probably fix it by knocking down the saturation

it's using the RACS helmet texs , but I can surely fix that if all it is a simple saturation tuning. If not, I'll redo it ,and still, ill send it to kiki (he's very good with 6 color)

as for the two plate carriers, I can fix , but only when I have the model finished. It's still rather fat , and curvy where it shouldn't be.

Fox if the Rangers had pistols they would have been M-9s. What you could do is model the M-12 holster on Ranger Squad leader and above and machinegunners(if that's what you're getting at). The holster pretty much covers up the type of pistol in the holster. The Delta guys all had 1911s.

Seals present would have had... well whatever the hell they wanted, but most likely p226s.

Any one else tired of seeing the blurry ArmA 1 boots?

Fox thinks it would be the end of the world if he used some US Army Boots from OA on these units. I don't think anyone would even notice or complain....Can I get some responses?

yes , if we have 10 people saying they are not good, then we'll consider modeling new ones. We will never use something inaccurate, as that is not our goal.

I believe the current boots are accurate , if not, please point us to the correct boots (pics etc)

Yet your using a totally inaccurate vest. Nice contradiction..

Might as well use what you got, especially if it looks almost visually identical. It's much more practical than trying to make your own.

you want me to use boots from us army men in 2012, i understand, but I really won't change to that until we have enough people saying they don't want realistic boots. you've already told us what you want.

I'm not sure about Rangers or Delta, I can ask my ROTC Instructor whenever I see him if you want, he was a Ranger during the late 80's - early 90's. Although Marines I'm pretty sure used black boots.

And according to the fact that they were using the alice system, they were wearing two LC-1 Ammunition Case that contains three m16 magazines in each.

The machine gunner was using two SAW ammo pouch.

They used M249's, not minimis, the main difference being the heat guard on the barrel of the M249. I would have pics to prove it, but they are in a book at home and I am on vacation. as for ammo, for the most part, they all recall carrying 210 rounds exactly. this is because the LBE as I posted generally has two ammo cases each carrying 3 mags, + 1 in the rifle. this was significant because they ran out quickly and now the military generally carries more mags. If I recall correctly, the marines wore black USGI boots for the most part, but rangers wore tan desert boots.

the green jungles might be a bit hard to get, but the boots that the russians and cdf wore in A2 look very similar to the black usgi boots from the 90's and they are a big improvement over A1 boots.
