This initial release has two coops included that can be used with default Combined Operations V1.52. Carrion on the Khyber A team of special forces has to verify the death of a militant following a drone strike in Takistan. The Dukhi's of Hazar An infantry patrol is ordered to clear the insurgents from the village of Hazar Bagh. Post War is a multiplayer coop mission for up to 9 players in a single squad in which an infantry patrol has been ordered to a nearby police post to help defend against attack by militants. Strike Home is a coop mission for up to 10 players in a single squad in which a team of Special Forces has to raid a compound in order to eliminate a high value target, gather intelligence material and destroy air defence systems to enable extraction by helicopter. New mission files: co06_cache_nexus.Takistan.pbo co10_charlie_g_spot.Takistan.pbo Cache Nexus features a raid by a reconnaissance team to locate and destroy caches of MANPADS. This mission package contains the very best small and fast scale coop missions for 5 to 10 players that I’ve yet to see in Arrowhead. Creative objectives and mission scenarios. Grimly faithful realism and well balanced gameplay mean that these missions score A+ in my eyes. TheScar 0 Posted July 29, 2010 (edited) co09_post_war niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice mission,played with 47 FPS on my 12 slot maybe a bit to long walk to AO,but shows if you r keeping an eye out Played it with AI only atm,worked like charm till i got killed (slot Squadleader) Then somehow the enemy AI got stuck and wasnt killable anymore Gonna check it out with a human squad nxt co10_strike_home No NVguns on insert? takes 45min to get the first sun,untill then you r either bound to recon or wait till its lighten up enough to engage - not rly sensemaking for a SFunit imo ... after playing it abit more i gotta say due the advance time u need to count to get there,the missingNVscopes dont make that much sense,but still - for a SFunit i would expect a bit more upgraded gear None of the less,the mission plays excellent and is challenging,patience and attention is requiered Good stuff Edited July 29, 2010 by TheScar addition Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
sander 14 Posted July 29, 2010 (edited) Thanks for your comments. --- The long walk can be interrupted by firefights, as there are a few enemies between the starting position and the police post. The squad can either evade these or initiate contacts in order to whittle down the number of enemies that have to be faced later on. --- The SCAR H with Elcan optic can actually be used at night in combination with the IR laser (press 'L' by default to activate). These devices were originally developed to provide precisely such, albeit rudimentary, aiming capability for shooters that could not effectively use sights on weapons when wearing NVG. It is no doubt harder to hit the target at range using the IR laser instead of a weapon optic, but the subsequent greater risk of return fire adds to the excitement in my opinion. Hard to compute without crosshairs! =) edit: ops, oversaw the previous post =) Also, how do you finish the AA-part of that mission? sander 14 Posted July 30, 2010 By default the operator (number 6 in the squad) has a satchel charge in his backpack, but there are also three satchels that can be picked in the weapon selection during the briefing. The additional weapons, ammunition and other kit are there to allow the player to configure the loadout of himself and any AI under his command before embarking on the mission. While the AA gun can be blown up without any risk of collateral damage, the same cannot be said about the SAM launcher: some of the civilians walking around may stray into the blast area. To avoid the risk of inflicting too many civilian casualties one must ensure that all these bystanders have wandered off outside the radius of the explosion or alternatively use the heavy machinegun or the small arms to destroy the Igla launcher. The latter method takes a bit of ammo to accomplish, but decreases the risk of causing collateral damage. Regards, Sander Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

sander 14 Posted July 30, 2010 This objective did tick off properly on several occasions in SP and MP play. The trigger kicks off when the damage on both these static weapons exceeds 0.99. Are there special circumstances (use of a mod instead of default Combined Operations V1.52, use of a MP save, occurence of JIP)? It can be hard to distinguish whether the ZSU has in fact been completely destroyed as it lacks an obvious damage indicator (either a model that gets twisted or a fire). The gun is unlocked and enterable and as long as it gives the player the option to get in as gunner or passenger it is still operable. Then the second rule of problem solution by explosives gets into effect: if application of explosives did not remove the problem, add more explosives. sander 14 Posted August 1, 2010 Version 1.7 contains a total of 16 coop missions. Two existing missions were slightly adapted and two new coops were added. New files: co09_pocket_veto.Takistan.pbo co10_body_search.Takistan.pbo Pocket Veto has an infantry squad destroying an enemy tank and AA guns before clearing out the town of Garmsar. Body Search features a search of enemy territory by an infantry squad in order to account for all members of a missing reconnaissance patrol. sander 14 Posted August 3, 2010 (edited) Known issues affecting some missions on a dedicated server: - http://dev-heaven.net/issues/11666 primarily affects custom filled backpacks, works for a host and in SP though. This is to be resolved in the next update of the coop mission pack by using only the default backpacks with predefined contents. Any crossloading should then be done in the briefing. - http://dev-heaven.net/issues/11856 weapon selection works inconsistently, sometimes players get their default weapons and kit in game instead of that selected in the briefing - on respawn the mission objectives in the briefing can be multiplied. sander 14 Posted August 7, 2010 Version 1.8 brings the total of included coop missions to 18. Two new missions are included while various existing missions have been updated. As custom loadouts for backpacks could cause a problem for clients in a multiplayer game the predefined content backpacks have been implemented in all missions. New files: co06_road_toll.Takistan.pbo co06_static_charge.Takistan.pbo Road Toll features some infantrymen reinforcing a police post about to come under insurgent attack. sander 14 Posted August 10, 2010 Yes, they can, with the player as squad leader by default, though you can then switch with team members if you need to use special weapons or equipment. A couple of missions might be very hard to pull off in SP, Track Meet and Charlie G-Spot in particular, but most I managed to complete allright in SP testing, though some required the use of save games. --- A solution has been implemented for the problem with the briefings multiplying on respawn that will be implemented in all missions in the coming update along with a couple of new scenario's. TheScar 0 Posted August 13, 2010 co06_road_toll wow,wow,wow,wow .... hold on dude IED on start is a nice surprise adding to the atmosphere but we played it twice and we lost all men on the 1st try at this ambush,2nd time we came with 2 men alive to the police post ... i guess thats a bit to much stuff for the first 1000m :D The guys holding the police post are very hard to tell apart from the enemy - and we had a situation where 1 enemy soldier clipped/walked/passed the defences,even i parked my Stryker in the gate,so technically no one should be able to get inside - and thats when the shit hits the fan,how would u know who is the guy you need to shoot when your regular defense guys just look like him? Apart from the fact that he maybe is the only one shooting @ you lol And last,is it ment to be the Stryker stays usable for Players,while the AI wont board in it anymore because it got slight damage? I gotta say,we would never reached the Police Station without using the Stryker - but from my understanding it shouldnt be usable anymore after the IED gone off Still,none of the less - good mission,no one likes to easy missions .... amirite?
