ACE 1.5 Beta (Advanced Combat Environment)

after updating ACE, my mission gives an error on server and mission doesn't load:

Missing addons detected:

acex_c_weapon

acex_veh_m113

Warning Message: You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.acex_c_weapon, acex_veh_m113

How to fix this? All ACE addons ARE loaded. Thank you.

P.S. ACE version 386, ACEX - 262

well, I deleted one M113 and replaced it by another and now error about acex_veh_m113 is gone, but for acex_c_weapon it remains. What to delete to fix this??

acex_c_weapon.pbo exists, why it says warning???

Yes, _S is for suppressed. You don't need to add those mags though, as they're automatically replaced by sys_magazine.

well i have the latest version the only other mods i have are the USSOCOM and the beta thingy mabob map packs and i mean by they don't work is that they DON'T WORK (cant pack anything)

Then you are doing something wrong. Plan and simple.

McArcher, open up the mission.sqm with armaedit, do a search for the ( ctrl+f )m113, then replace those entries with another vehicles classname.

acex_c_weapon.pbo exists, why it says warning???

Open the mission.sqm and erase acex_c_weapon and acex_veh_m113

from the:

addOns[]=
{

};
addOnsAuto[]=
{

};

sections of the file.

It should probably look like this.

	addOns[]=
{
	"cacharacters2",
	"acex_veh_m113",
               "acex_c_weapon",
	"utes"
};
addOnsAuto[]=
{
	"cacharacters2",
	"acex_c_weapon",
               "acex_veh_m113",
	"utes"
};

Make a copy just in case.

well, the problem with m113 i solved this way, i wrote about that.

but, if you think i didn't do that with "acex_c_weapon", you are mistaking.

I deleted it from addons and saved the file. Then I opened it in editor to save as pbo and saved it as pbo and as ordinary mission. acex_c_weapon is back again! so, there must be an object that uses this addon on map???

ROFL how? i installed Arma2 then arrowhead then ACE, then beta then the ussocom mod pack and thats it PLAIN and simple

Ive been trying to get the balaclava, tactrical glasses and earplugs working. Thus far I have failed. Im using the OA ace2 version with Combined Operations on Steam. When I have the glasses/earplugs in my inventory I am unable to use them with the same menu that I use the huntIR but the glasses/earplugs option is not coloured in. I am using Farid A face. My @cba, @ace, @acex and @acex_sm are in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead and I have edited my ace_clientside_config.hpp like this -

Meester scroll to the bottom of the clientside_userconfig to where all the keys are and switch the appropriate numbers around thats what i did and it fixed it, i'd tell you in more detail but i actually forgot what ones i switched :S

How? Because I've made countless missions and I just started another that uses the ACE2 packs all packed up with out a problem.

And the fact that none of the devs have even commented on your post is fact enough. Plus there's no ticket about it at DH.

All that equals working to me.

So thats what I need to change to get it to work. I already can access the class Self_interaction menu, so a class interaction menu key is what I need to get it working [and glasses/balaclava etc]?

Well I got an answer from someone in a server in that earplugs and such-like do not work yet with the OA version. I have been using the app key but perhaps you are not using the OA version where the self-interaction tab for glasses are dark and for example the self-interaction tabs in the menu for tripods and huntir monitor is bright.

Whomever told you that is wrong. I'm using OA/CO and never had a problem with the earplugs. I just checked using the mission I posted a few posts ago and they work fine.

I hit the App key and below the option for huntIR monitor was Goggles/Masks(it was bright) I clicked on that and earplugs came up. I click on the earplugs and they work.

Try the sample mission I posted above.

Same as the BIS Arty Module. Just replace the BIS modules with the ACE2 module.
