I had some problems with this too strait after copying the extracted bin.pbo over to p:\, but it seemed to work when I restarted my PC.

I'm getting "wait for host"

Command: P:\arma2oa.exe -bulldozer -window

Extracted bin, language and core and placed the folders in P:\

Made backup of the old ones.

"Wait for host"..

Command says: ARMA 2 OA P:\arma2oa.exe -bulldozer -window -connect=pipe\350B20,8EDB

I dont get the "connect" part?!

EDIT: Ah... Bull... muuuuhh....

I followed all the instructions I could find and I get "Application load error 5:0000065434" when I try and load buldozer. :(

I even reinstalled the tools and started from scratch and I can't get the new buldozer to work as this error keeps popping up. Anyone with the steam version of Arma2OA able to get this to work?

EDIT: I got it working by copying over the Expansion\beta\arma2ao.exe to my P:\ directory. Hmmm

New bulldozer feature seems appeared!

check OA keys... now it's possible to raise/lower terrain by 1 meter, 50 centimeters and 10 centimeters!

THANK YOU GUYS! great news!

Your welcome :) Tweaking terrain details(especially around buildings/houses) with the original 5m, 1m step was a nightmare on the maps with 4-7.25 m terrain grids :hang: , so my call to the programmers heaven was heard :yay::yay: , I have also some more ideas how to make object manipulation in buldozer a bit easier.

I just got around to setting this up... Ran into prowler.wolfs Steam arma2oa.exe problem - solved it with the beta .exe as he suggested (cheers mate!) - got an error about backpacks, of all things :D - fixed that by using the beta bin and languagecore files as well... Excellent! a handy improvement...!

@OldBear...

Well, can somebody tell me how to tweak Buldozer controls so I can get a square looking as a square and the tittle bar out of the middle of screen?

it's this bit in the Arma2profile file for the title bar...

uiTopLeftX=0;

uiTopLeftY=0;

uiBottomRightX=1;

uiBottomRightY=1;

IGUIScale=1;

Not sure about the square looking like a square bit... I think that might be this bit...

fovTop=0.75;

fovLeft=1.2;

or maybe try changing aspect ratio in the F1 menu?

Of course they can be changed in the game or your "user.arma2OA.profile" itself.

My problems i had by installing arma2OA.exe for bulldozer, was the depbo, as it again created a root folder in the root folder means

p:/bin/bin/ .....

So if u get shader errors etc, check your folders if the depboing went correct.

Well, my 2 pennies .....thx for the hint for the new Bulldozer keys!

Did anyone of you experience serious increased startup time for buldozer with this? Mine would take 30 mins, where when i roll back to buldozer.exe it only takes 1-2 min

Well since ichanged to arma2OA.exe it takes 1-2 mins to load the objects.

Before it took me 10 sec.

What cpu and ram do u have,as i suppose this process is cpu hungry.

Nevertheless 30min sounds way too long.

Indeed it does. :)

AMD Phenom II x4 945

Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3,AMD 770, DDR2, ATX

Corsair Powersup 750W

Samsung Spinpoint F1 750GB

Samsung Spinpoint T166 500GB

Kingston ValueR. DDR2 4096MB pc5300

ATI Radeon HD5850 1GB DDR5

I know the ram is abit rusty but i refuse to believe that they are the problem here. Well, i'l stick with the buldozer.exe, the terrain feature isnt so important anyway. ^^

I got the same heavy load time issue running arma2oa.exe leaving parameters (-buldozer -window) as always...

At this very moment it still remains to say "inserting some objects"...

Objects belong to arma2 the most and some of those in plants_e and rocks_e folders were taken from OA...

What am I doing wrong??? It took about 5-10 mins to load OAbuldozer

My machine shouldn't be a problem... I own an AMD 6X 2.8 GHZ and 4GB RAM DDR3 @1600 with 1GB DDR5 VRAM high end nv GPU... this PC runs fast, so speed performance is not a common issue... till now

Sorry m8, no clue what happens there.

But i got another issue with the new Bulldozer via arma2OA.exe

In certain angles the square shows black or grey like on this screesnshots.

Or better said, i can see through the square only in certain angles.

Very annoying. Everything worked fine with arma2 vanilla.

Is it common or doe anyone know how to fix this?

Concerning the long loadingtimes:

I had this problem since the latest patch when i did a complete reinstall and used the latest Arma2oa.exe. Oxigen was ok but in visitor my map wouldn´t load no more (Oa didn´t take 100mb of memory). I unistalled and then installed OA again took the required files on my p:\ drive and everything worked fine again. Obviously the latest Arma2oa does not like our habit anymore so we have to use an older version. Afterwards the patches can be applied as usual.

Maybe that may solve some problems mentioned here.
