Problem to a newbie

Hi everyone, i have installed the 1.07 patch and first of all when every time i enter in multiplayer it says that to download the patch 1.07 i have to go to the official website xD , but i have installed it and when i try to join every server i get kicked and i don't know te reason... plz help me

How did you install the patch? You do know that you dont just put the download into the root folder and leave it at that dont you? You have to unzip and then install the patch by clicking on the exe. Apologies if you already know this.

The message to download the 1.07 patch was introduced by the 1.07 patch, so ignore that as the issue as to why you cannot connect to a server.

Most likely reason you cannot connect to a server is because you are trying to join a server that is running addons, or a mod that you do not have

for esample i have on the list the first server with about 50 ppl in, and i can't join and i don't know what i have to download ç__ç sad

ah ok i think i have found the problem ... lol, i have the last question : what is the " CA " mod ? and do u have a link to download it plzplz ty for any help

This means you have an altered CA.pbo file in comparison to the server that you are trying to join

You may have not updated the game to the latest version

Are you running

1) Arma2 (latest version 1.7)

2) Operation Arrowhead(Latest version 1.52) release version was 1.51)

3) Combined arms (Latest version 1.52 I think)

i have installed arma 2 (1.0), and refreshed with the patch 1.07 i have only done this...

but the problem is that i can't join servers that only have CA mod ... and i don't now what it means ç_ç

Does the 1.07 contain all the fixes from previous patches?

If not, this might be the problem, being you missing updates from other patches.

i have downloaded from the official website 1.00 to 1.07 patch ... and only installed this is the link : http://www.arma2.com/supply/all-downloads/file/236-arma2patch_100_to_107.html?lang=cz

ok CA mod means a vanilla install, eg no 3rd party addons.

There are very few if any non addon Arma2 servers. Most run ACE mod

This will soon change probably over the next 7 days when a lot of the regular ArmA2 players install operation Arrowhead

I suspect this is why you are having problems, as stated in an earlier post and also read the mp guide, it may help you A LOT

so i can do nothing ç_ç sad... i have downloaded ace mod; aniway i saw that when i try to join servers it says " battleye initialit... failed " waht does it means ç_ç

That means that you probably have to run the battleye installation again.

Should be in your ..\arma 2\BEsetup-katalog.

Just run it once.

Then I think you have to start up your game and it will auto update. Or you might have to try to connect to a vanilla server with battleye (shows in mp list) so that battleye gets started and then update. You will probably not get connected, but you will get messages about the update of Battleye.

Then you can try again.

i can't find BEsetup-katalog in arma 2, i don't have any folder about Battleye in arma 2

plz help me...

i have now downloaded battleye for arma 2 from here : http://www.battleye.com/download.html

but i don't know where the file has to go and is not a exe but is .dll

P.S : i think there are few ppl playing this game for this reason xD , it's hard to play online without problems

i also have with this problem a second one :

-) i followed the guide to create a shortcut for CBA and ACE mods but when i try to change the destination from "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\ArmA.exe" to "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\ArmA.exe -mod=@MyAddons" it says that it's not valid

hav you tried using a game launcher such as alpine launcher which can be found http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6650&highlight=ALPINE

also with your mod folder does it look like

@mod\Addons\****.pbo files?

ok i can now run CBA but i have other problems :

1) in one of most populated the problem is that misses "warfare2vehicles" file ... where can i donwnload it ?

2) it also says that "Battleye initialitation failed"

plz help it's impossble that i am the first i have this problem ....

It's written in brackets where the BE Client has to be placed (BattlEye folder, if it doesn't exist create it).

Also, please use a thread title that actually describes your problem in the future. I only found your thread by coincidence.
