PogMoThoin 10 Posted June 28, 2010 Obviously we'll monitor the situation and take steps where necessary if things don't improve, seems a bit better this morning :) Not that much, its gone from a painful 60-120 seconds per page yesterday evening (I'm in Ireland) to a usable 20 seconds this morning, but its still way too slow. Its gonna turn newcomers away

gossamersolid 155 Posted June 28, 2010 We rebooted the server and are checking into some other potential causes :) stupid servers and them requiring humans to restart them. We need some robopuppy servers that take care of themselves.
Big Dawg KS 6 Posted June 28, 2010 We rebooted the server and are checking into some other potential causes :) Seems slower now than it was this morning, and it's not just because of my workplace's network (slower than that usually makes it even). :(
Erratic 10 Posted June 28, 2010 Yeah it slowed down, around the time the 1.07 patch came out, but know it seems to be almost back to it's usual speed.

cole 0 Posted June 28, 2010 Seems like it got slightly slower for me, takes around 5 to 6 seconds to load a page. It's nothing serious.. ;)

ast65 10 Posted June 29, 2010 (edited) Strange thing, though, is that on my PC at work in the same city with OS XP speed is absolutely ok (even with f...n surf protection); only at home with Win 7 its laggy as hell... Edited June 29, 2010 by @ST

-martin- 10 Posted June 29, 2010 (edited) Strange thing, though, is that on my PC at work in the same city with OS XP speed is absolutely ok (even with f...n surf protection); only at home with Win 7 its laggy as hell... Its not Windows 7 that's causing this, its not like XP is the best operating system, at college we have a 10mb/s transfer speed, every page loads in an instant, you tube videos load in like 5 seconds completely but loading the BIS forums still takes around 30 seconds Its getting a bit boring now to read threads because I have to wait so long for it to load BIS should do something about this, they have enough money to be prepared for this even before the launch of the patch and OA... EDIT: I would understand if other companies don't really care about their forums but for BIS the forums are the main thing that sells their games and brings the community together which is almost as fun as playing the game it self. But then again lag has always been there with BIS  I remember playing OFP when it came out @10 FPS, good old days  Edited June 29, 2010 by -Martin-

Big Dawg KS 6 Posted June 29, 2010 ?Forum == slow : goto "play OA" Sorry, but SQS format is deprecated. Can you rewrite it in SQF? Also, OA is undefined on this client. :p :(
