it combines both games, so both threads. Basically you are right to concern about every double posting but in this case this concern is i think a little bit overshooting. I am happy to make this great piece of art more popular in this forum

Video maker needs to get rid of about 2/3 of that video.

Too long, too much unneeded shots. You have some combat music banging and yet the video shows close-up shots of planes flying and people running around. Too much filler - he even repeats the same "come on let's go" animation 3 times although there are more useable ones.

It should've focused on strengths of Seattle map - like when it shows combat among epic skylines.

If we were to talk "best video" - Litos does much better editing

a matter of taste. I don´t like litos´editing but he´s a very talented videomaker too.

Hi folks,

as an avid MILSIM player since OFP with a focus on playing immersive SP missions, I've had a lot of great gaming with my heavily modded A2 and OA. Really, this game doesn't need to run at 100 FPS to make it a unique and enjoyable gaming experience! I would like to make some vids to tell about and showcase all the cool SP missions that awesome community members have made. Now, this thread should be the right place to ask about video and sound software that is free and comparable easy to learn for a newcomer:whistle:

For now, I have either FRAPS or the shareware version of PlayClaw to capture game footage. To me it seems that PlayClaw puts less of strain on my already struggling system, but I am not satisfied with the volume of recorded ingame sound effects while my voice sounds reasonably true to actual volume when recording within OA. I'm using a 5.1 surround headset, so maybe it's just some necessary adjustment within PlayClaw I haven't discovered yet.

I want to edit especially the audio of the vids with more carefully spoken dialogue - well, at least two different voices/accents I should be able to speak without that sounding too cheesy; and the more generic combat related talking like "watch out, grenade!" "Taking fire" "Aargh! Fuckit, I'm hit!" will be done by ACE talk or SLX and GL 4 dubbing) as well as adding text to it.

Things like slow motion and blur effects are nice to have, but I would define my main goal as telling my stories from as close a perspective to the actual playing experience as possible, fleshed out with dialogue and text for background story. Please help a newbie in video editing out with your starting tips for software/editing tricks!

Thank you in advance for any tips,

touristo

With help of ArmA Wargames - http://arma-wargames.com A new large scale PvP map is being created. It focus on large scale battle tactics where a General is assigned various resources: Vehicles, Soldiers, Armor, Supplies which he can use as he please. Each town gives a fix set of resources forcing the tactics to become about key location rather than TDM.

Each town will be regarded as an asset. Some towns play vital roll to gaining resources, others are important to connect supply routes, others are situated on a hill giving a strong foothold.

In the video below the towns controlled by Russian forces (OPFOR) is shown.
