AI bug, Civilians get out of cars?

Hey guys.

In this mission im working on, you happen to stumble across an enemy road checkpoint. I put 4 or 5 cars, with civilians in them, infront of a make shift checkpoint. There is an MG nest (empty) on both sides of the road, as well as a rifle man next to it. For some reason, all of the civilians get out of their cars and just lay on the road. :confused:

I tried to move them away from the enemy and set the civilian rankings higher. Im not sure if any of that would make a difference though.

I think it has to do something with the civilian's threat level towards the opfor. I wouldnt know for sure though because i am not very experienced with making missions.

Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced :)

Civilian units aren't great in this game far to much messing about getting in and out and going prone at the slightest sign of danger.

Having said that you can work around this one.

Place an OPFOR Unit and set his probability of presence to 0%

Group the Civ/Car to the OPFOR Unit

In the Init of the CIV/Car put this setcaptive true;this setbehaviour "careless"

Put your waypoints on the OPFOR unit

Now the CIV is part of OPFOR and they are no longer a threat and setcaptive true stops BLUFOR shooting them.

Downside is that they now seem a little more cautious of BLUFOR.

Hopefully the civilians are a little better in OA.
