Oxymoron28 10 Posted June 25, 2010 Or atleast tell me if any of these are good enough for ArmA 2? (yes unfortunately it has to be a laptop =[) Laptop 1: Toshiba Satellite A660-11M £899.99 Intel Core i7-720QM 1.6GHz (or up to 2.8GHz with Turbo Boost Technology...what ever the hell that is?) 2.5 GT/s DMI 6MB Smart Cache 4GB DDR3 Ram (I can easily upgrade this though) NVIDIA GeForce GT330M - 1GB 16" screen (1366 x 768) 500GB SATA HDD Windows 7 Home Premium Laptop 2: Sony Vaio VPC-F12X £1,479.00 Intel Core i7-740QM 1.73GHz 6GB DDR3-SDRAM NVIDIA GeForce GT330M - 1GB 16" (1920 x 1080) 640GB SATA HDD Windows 7 Home Premium. Are any of these any good at all? I've been advised them by other people so want to get another opinion on them =].
EDcase 87 Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) The CPU's are OK but graphics cards are not very good. You must look for GTX260m or HD4850 AT LEAST Better would be GTX285m or HD5870 These can be found in a 15.6" laptop but are easier to find in 17" HERE is a list of mobile GPUs in order of power. Don't expect to play ARMA2 or Operation Arrowhead on a laptop with good graphics settings unless you are prepared to spend a couple of thousand. W0lle 182 Posted June 25, 2010 I fail to see what this has to do with ArmA2 troubleshooting.
