script problem in mp

Hello m8s,

i ve build a mission where you can call CAS and an EVAC if you are close

to a vehicle.

This is working fine, the problem is now that if you are requesting a CAS

the script is running for every player and not only for the one which

activated it.

My question is now, is there a chance to run the script only for the

player who activates it?

I'm sure its possible, can you give us more details on the script like when you have the script in your folder for the mission, is there a code that you use to put into the init line of your player?

You may have to look at the script and see what lines are allowing everyone else have that capacity to cal and not you, if its as simple as putting a code in the init line of your character then thats all you would have to do, but Id say look at the script.

Did you get the script from somewhere, or you put it together yourself?

So let's say you call a CAS that should put an A-10 overhead... Do you mean that the script puts as many A-10s in the sky as players are connected? If that's the case there are serious problems with the code.

I have no idea, like i said i need more details of the script.

Im not a scripter, and my knowledge I have is limited to workign with a few scripts. Only scripts I know and use all the time are:

-inf respawn script

-vehicle respawn script

-respawning with weapons you had when you died

-UPS - urban patrol script

-art script

-chopper pickup

and some others i cant recall.

In general if you send me a link to where u got the script maybe i can help, but i need to see it and get an idea of what you need to do, surely theres other that could answer your questions and are more knowledgable but again i need to look at the script myself,a nd get an idea of how it runs and whats involved.
