Jungle Wars: Island of Lingor

Recommended Posts

Update: Lingor will require Arrowhead & A2 original game.

I've decided to use OA buildings since I'll be waiting months for new ones. Any custom buildings can be included along with the update.

Berghoff is also looking on how to improve the framerate of the vegetation.

Why? You're not buying OA?

There's another possibility - get me a talented 3d modeller for 3-5 new buildings ;)

Using OA buildings would be great. All the enterable parts... :)

And let's not forget in OA they are all largely destroyable, unlike the majority in base ArmA2. Chalk another in support of OA buildings!

Yes, if BIS continues this destructability trend, I sure hope they have another expansion in the pipeline... with heavy modern urban environment, all of which can be blasted apart. :D

I haven't recieved OA yet (Damn you 4th of July weekend...) but do the buildings have better FPS? That'd be great if they do seeing as lower end PC's will probably need as many FPS savers as possible on this map.

I wouldnt think so, the Buildings are MUCH more detailed and have higher res textures I'd say.

But not too big of a hit on performance. I don't think so atleast.

Anyways, Cannot wait for the next update on this map. It's gonna be totally awessoome!! :D

You got the troops made up yet? Or is that still WIP?

Enad: troops are still WIP.

Latest version of Lingor is now OA only project, running great with latest Berghoff's African Foliage addon that has jungle vegetation, too. Foliage v1.21 is fully tested and will be included with Lingor.

New FPS boosts allows me to make a realistic jungle, while I increased the size of the island, too... new towns made out of OA objects are way cool :)

And buildings:

Let me remind you that FPS are very good (30+) on normal settings with no considerable loss when using 3000+ distance ;) Berghoff really optimized tree LODs without any serious quality loss ;)

Oh my god...That looks awesome!!!!!!

I cannot wait for this to come out!

I feel like my FPS is gonna be HORRIBLE since I can barely run Takistan.

LIKE I TOLD YOU BEFORE FOX...I'm one of the unlucky people using crossfire, which OA doesn't support ATM.

Yeah I've done that, didn't help really at all. Renamed it to BioShock 2.exe and got alot more FPS, but still cant run it any where near the settings I ran ArmA 2 at. :(
