Studio "Black Hawk" is you pack Egyptian architecture. Author of the conversions and pack: Strelok_omon.

Please tell us who the author - a statue, building?

I know that you are going to convert found in the network model, but you may have a problem with authorship.

I like objects Egyptian architecture, but I also know that you must have permission from the authors on it.

Oh yep. These are my textures and I'm not going anal about it, but still it would have been nice to be mentioned.

As for other custom models, why not use Google 3d Warehouse? They have lots of egypt style structures too.

You can use everything from there (as long as the uploader didn't violate e.g. Section 5.7.4. of the License and consequently you 5.7.5. when downloading)

It may not seem like it after Google changed their TOS on the service, but everything uploaded to the Warehouse is "free for all" (except the selling part):

For the avoidance of doubt, you may modify, distribute, and create derivative works of Content uploaded by other users in 3D Warehouse.[/Quote]

Strelok_omon - I have to repeat to you what you call your foreign models.

Models of the statues, which you display on screen shots - and they have the author - are paid.

This author, a man who made them, he is not giving them away for free, it is them - sells.

You did not buy these statues that would use them.

I ask the moderators - close the topic in relation to copyright infringement.

Strelok_omon - uses stolen 3d models and I want to close the topic.

All the necessary proof, I sent moderator and I do not understand why the topic is open again?

Now, on this forum are permitted to steal 3d models and use them in their addons?

I'm may be wrong Smersh, but weren't those models freeware? That's what it looked like from the site that the moderator put up earlier (I've lost the link though). If so there's no real problem as long as he credits the author and provides a link to his site when he creates his readme. If he says that he created them by himself though, or if he doesn't provide the proper credits, then he has a problem.

No they are not free.

All models of Egyptian statues that we see in the screenshots - are of the author and the author did not distribute them for free, it is them - sells.

3D models of statues have their price, but Strelok_omon them not to buy it they have downloaded from pirate sites and he does not even know who is the real author of these models, because of pirate sites do not indicate the author.

All necessary evidence I provided moderators and I am surprised that the topic is still open.

Hmm... Odd. I know the topic was closed earlier. Perhaps Strelok_omon sent the moderators proof that he bought them? Or perhaps he e-mailed the creator, informed him of the "pirate sites", and asked for permission to use them in ArmA II. Many possibilities here. I will wait for a moderator to post (If one does) before I say anything about theft...

Yes this threat was closed. It would have been opened again under the premise that the OP would have supplied proof of an authorization from the original author. Evidentially he has send the proof.

Kind regards

Agreed, enough said, SMERSH if you have questions just ask the modos.

I locked that thread earlier until Strelok_omon told me that he will provide all necessary information. After the last PM from SMERSH it looks though like the "author" of this addon has not paid for the models he's using.

Strelok_omon has not sent a proof yet that he bought the models but said he got permission to use them and that he will publish the names of the original authors now. I keep an eye on this and wait for the explanation from Strelok_omon. We do not encourage piracy here and stealing of content.

To provide and all information that the models are paid (source of information). Otherwise, evidence that the model is not paid.

Of course I have evidence that the model does not buy it.

All this evidence had already been sent moderators.

If you are an honest man - name of the author models of Egyptian statues, give a link to the website where you bought them and show your any proof of purchase.

if you're not a thief, is it hard to do?

After all, if you bought a model, you have to confirm their purchase.

In the meantime, you can not even name the author of models and can not produce any evidence that you bought them.

You bought a model? - Prove it.

He has to find out the name of the author first. Otherwise he would have provided it already.

The first post says Icewindo made the models. Surely he doesn't mean to say that Icewindo is the author.

I'm tired of moderating Explain that Strelok_omon it - a thief.

He does not know the author's models, he bought them and downloaded from a pirate site, I have given all the evidence but for some reason no action to close the topic is not accepted.

Today, the thief uses the stolen statues, models, simply stating that they are free, tomorrow another, third, fourth, 125 thief declares that he is white and fluffy, what will happen with the additions?

The community is always punish those who violate copyright law, so why now all of a blind eye to theft?

Here's the real author and the site where he sells his model:

To punish the thief and close the topic.

Thief call someone who steals the model, knowing that they are paid. I did not know what they are paid. SMERSH finding the author's models do not even offered at the outset the source of information. Okay, this is not important. Since I'm honest, I waived project to get permission to use the data models of the statues by Hankster. Please do not judge me harshly, because I did not know what they are paid and because there was no evidence before this.

Of course you remember your tiger tank thread that was allowed to go on for 6 pages before it was stopped due to IP infringement. The mods will get to the bottom of the issue.

You would be naive not to disclose the source of information as you can see you wanted to topic closed. Judging from the screenshot the conversation, I want you to open my source of information.

Very true. If Strelok_omon can show that he bought them or got them for free fair enough, but SMERSH, you shouldn't be a hypocrite tbh.

Let the mods sort it out, not us :)

I'm not sure what you meant by that Strelok, something lost in translation i guess, but your messages leave little doubt as to whether or not you actually stole them.

Just naming the author isn't enough. Even if they were on a "freeware" site, once you learned that they were stolen you should have stopped all work and reported the theft to the creator, if you had found him.

Strelok_omon admitted that he used illegal content in your schedule.

I am glad that he had enough sense to do it.

I see more sense in the conversation.
