Dead3yez 0 Posted May 14, 2010 Hi. Tracers do not show up when you look towards the shooter. That means you cannot see incoming tracers, only ones that are firing away. Is there anything that can be used to make them work? or any workarounds?
Q1184 0 Posted May 14, 2010 One can create and assign a new tracer model that is not transparent from the front.

Q1184 0 Posted May 15, 2010 I was sure it's the special tracer model that's the culprit - but you're right. I've done some tests (using baseballs and TV sets as tracer models) and it is apparent that this behaviour is not dependant on the actual model used, but rather hardcoded. The only way out (apart from hoping for BIS to change it) is a scripted solution similar to Arma's SIX tracers or ACE2's sys_tracers which attaches a tracer object through fired event handler. Dead3yez 0 Posted May 16, 2010 (edited) I have fixed it using a proxy for the tracer. Now, I could use some help getting the proxy in the correct position? [edit] Well, proxy appeared (2 meter?) Below where it should have done, I just moved proxy higher so it's in right position. With the proxy, it looks like maybe they can't be seen from the side? But not so much a big deal now I think.
