That came to my mind too but even in elementary school you learn the difference between in and on.

In this case: readme of the addon in question. There is no (easy) way to make units sit on a tank, especially if the tank is moving.

There are no cargo seats in tanks. The only tank that is possible is the M1 Abrams from ... can't remember the name which has a loader position.

AFAIK it can be modded, needing changes in the config AND in the model, but it can't be done by script as the inside view of the tank is a (or several) view lod(s) of the p3d model. Unless the interior of the tank is also modded (and so displayed) in the resolution lods (as cars or trucks for example), which i haven't seen anywhere.
