Custom faces in ArmA II.

OK, before anybody directs me to an addon pack with ready made faces, that's not what I want. I've been looking for a tutorial on how to create your own custom faces and found nothing, I've found templates and stuff but no step by step guide. If anybody knows how to do it or knows of a tutorial could you please give me the link or a guide, thanks.

I used Google search many times and I never seem to get any decent results using the forum search, thanks anyway.

yeh it can be a pain i did find some results in the arma2 editing forum though, but that was a long time again. Good luck with it.

I think it's very unlikely that you'll find a step-by-step guide to making custom faces for three reasons:

1. There are several different graphics programs, so any guide could only apply to one of them.

2. A step-by-step guide of any reasonable length would have to consider proficiency at graphics manipulation a prerequisite. Explaining the use of every single tool would just take too much time.

3. Anyone who already owns some good grahics software and is already proficient at using it will not need a step-by-step guide to create a custom face.

just thought I would use this thread to ask my question:

Is it possible to create a face with an eye patch that works properly.. Ive created my own and used someone elses. When I first go to select the custom face everything looks fine but when I get in game the black eye patch all of sudden becomes very light brown and his eye which should be covered is completly visible and he looks like some sort of demon.. Both of the face's were orginally made for ArmA 1.
