Uziyahu--IDF 0 Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) The trigger activation descriptions "Whole group" and "Any group member" appear to be transposed or switched. "Any group member" Once, Not Present requires me to kill the whole group. "Whole group" Once, Not Present requires me to kill only one member of the group. How discovered: I placed an OPFOR soldier. I placed a friendly soldier as PLAYER. I added a trigger, Once, Not Present. Having forgotten how this was done, I attempted to synchronize the trigger to the OPFOR soldier. That didn't work so I grouped the trigger to the OPFOR soldier, then took a look at the trigger settings and saw that it now said "Vehicle" under Activation. I looked through the options and found "Any group member". This was ideal, so I added another OPFOR soldier and grouped him to the first OPFOR soldier. I then tested my "mission" and found that it was only when I killed both OPFOR soldiers that the trigger would activate. On a hunch, I changed the setting to "Whole group" and tested it, finding out that it only required me to kill one of the OPFOR soldiers in order to activate the trigger. Either I'm understanding English differently, or this appears to be a serious bug that has probably broken many a mission and probably driven a few designers mad. If this has been posted, before, then it needs to be FIXED. Edited April 16, 2010 by Uziyahu--IDF
jakerod 254 Posted April 16, 2010 I'm actually fairly certain that it has been like this since ArmA if not OFP. I remember having the problem in ArmA sometimes too. The only odd thing is that I swear it was fixed when I started playing ArmA II but now it does seem broken again.
