I dont see what all the fuss is about, i mean i like first person shooters, but it was all so repetitive and there was no story
WKK Gimbal 0 Posted April 18, 2002 I have just tried the MOHAA demo and with an open mind. I say I like the firefights sometimes, but the whole environment and movement physics, etc are just damn annoying. Way too Quakeish and I don't like Quake at all. What's the point of having a sniper rifle when targets can be no longer than 20 meters away at max?

Sounds like Max Payne sniper rifles. Â I only played that game once and it sucks.
Aculaud 0 Posted April 18, 2002 i have max payne. Its kindof like, my un realistic vacation from OFP........once in a while. I'll say this about tom clancy's games. Ghost recon didnt do well at all. Sure, the maps are a lot more wide open than the R6 series, but not by that much. all thats really changed is the scenery. I like the R6 series much better, because they did good at what they were trying to do. And that was pretty much just CQB battle in confined areas. If Tom wants to do outdoor stuff, he'd unfortunately have to abandon his entire current engine. And max payne does not suck, it just depends on what you expect from it

In fact, Ill bet he only vaguely knew of the games existence until he got the royalty check in the mail

Interestingly enough, we'd have probably gotten a better Ghost Recon if Tom was doing them himself.

I'd be willing to bet that Tom Clancy staring over your shoulder would be Hell on Wheels for a game designer: "Oh no! you fucked this up! The M16A2's cyclic rate is not that goddam high! I cant work like this!" or "No, no, no! The Bushmaster cannon on a Bradley is a half-inch too long!" But I bet the game would be perfect, if it ever got finished
Aculaud 0 Posted April 18, 2002 Totally! I would most certainly pay for that. "NO, the reticle isnt supposed to spread that fast, they're snipers for gods sake, they're just trying to follow a target!" "Heighten the resolution on everything, chop chop!" "Get those ballistics modeled better! They'l have their shots thrown off at the same place every time with those half-assed specs!" "God dammit, the AI are not supermen! If i popped around a corner with an OICW to your face, youd shit yourself!" "Havent any of you read any of my books!?"
