Hi all its probably just me but every time I see an update I cant seem to find what the hell it all means eg

Sparkytags what are these and where can I find info on it.

I have looked on the ace wiki etc but cant find any thing there i did a search btw and did not find nothing on ace wiki.

I/We need a description of what these things being added modded are cus im lost.

I actually have to agree with this. I know the ACE team is really busy and writing documentation can be a pain. However, I've seen a lot of cases where cool new things get added and then just get looked over or no one uses them because it's not clear what they are or how to use them.

Trying to locate the 3 different ACE_PRC119 variants I find in the Rucksack Crate on your Dynamic Classlist, but can't seem to find them. Would you be willing to share the 3 seperate classes of the ACE_PRC119 w/ us?

What i meant to ask was if there is a list that show addons added that are also standalone? Like Robert Hammer's heli sounds. I'm trying to put together my own collection of sound mods and i don't wont to add something that are already there. Anyhow thanks :)

Re dynamic classlists, there's a piece of the pipeline that is still initiated manually, I will update them after Monday's update, and work on automating also this part ;)

Re Six Updater, Panthera and FFA Terrositas update: They are up now, sry for the delay. Isla duala updated aswell due to shared ibr_plants.pbo

Hello,

I just got the mod installed and it's taking a long time to load when I select the map wizard in MP to create a custom map. When I try to edit the map it takes like at least a couple minutes to load the edit screen. Then I make some changes and hit preview and it takes another couple minutes to load. Any idea why? Everything else seems fine.

Digging through the source, it appears that the change was just a fix for the interaction system and being able to examine dogtags.

Trying to locate the 3 different ACE_PRC119 variants I find in the Rucksack Crate on your Dynamic Classlist, but can't seem to find them. Would you be willing to share the 3 seperate classes of the ACE_PRC119 w/ us?

I get a Message on my radio in yellow saying my Config needs to be updated or something.

It happens everytime i play and is very annoying. How do i get rid of this?

Can someone please help me with this?

I had the same issue.

Go back to page 103 of this thread and look at post #s 1027 through 1030.

I "solved" it after deleting all ace folders and the userconfig folder and reran the Six Updater - reinstalling everything (a pita but worked). However it looks like there was an easier solution - see specifically posts #s 1028 and 1030.

Explained tons of times. In your ARMA2 root directory you have something called "userconfig" and in there you have an "ACE" folder and in there you have 4 files. Update them. For me i use Yoma's AddonSync so they are updated automatically when i install the latest ACE everytime. I dont know why your wouldnt be updated but if you use Rsync(?) then maybe run the "Process Userconfig" option.

Yeah, either you update the userconfig every time and then modify it to match your own settings (name in userconfig.cpp instead of "john doe" and custom keys if you don't like the defaults), or not update it and once in a while get this message about you needing to update them.

Would be nice if there was easier way to tell whether or not they need to be updated (stating whether or not they have been updated on the "new version" announcement post would be a good start).

Have the same issue since version 1.0.10.337: I cant put anything "on back". And even if i take a backpack i can´t put anything in. Posted bug at dev-heaven.

Im using 337 to but i can put stuf "on back" and pack in rucksack.

BUUUUT, playing BE.WF 058 scews this up..Meaning you CANT

put stuff "on back" and pack in rucksack..

But in the EDITOR its all fine here...

The updated files are located here:

Does the METIS really have ~1000m range IRL? According to wikipedia and warfare.ru it should be 1500m.

And the AI probably shouldn't miss half their shots with it.

Edit: I just placed 5 Russian AT Specialists 500m from a tank, and all of their shoulder-fired rockets fell short near the 250m mark. The tripod Metis is more accurate, flying straight and level at the target but sometimes falling badly short as well. I am using Mando Missiles, which afaik only adds Hud and FLIR to a player-controlled Metis. How are these tubes working for everyone else?

I'm having a little trouble installing ACE2.

I've followed the instructions, but whenever i try to start it off of the shortcut, it says that 'ace_clientside_config.hpp' is missing when its actually in the right place with the other three files.

CAn someone please explain this to me cos i really want to play online, and as most poeple use ACE2, its pretty hard to find a game wihtout ACE2. Also i like the look of the features.

AI seem to shoot high/low at very specific ranges with the Metis (that is, at a certain range they will (almost?) always shoot low while at another they'll (almost?) always shoot high). When I fire it only falls short if the target is too far and the missile appears to "run out of gas", but that happens way before the 1500m mark. As long as it "has fuel" it's extremely accurate when I fire it.

Hmm...New issue..

Donno if its ACE or Bennys WF..But ill place it here aswell..Could be BI standard bug.

Scenario:

Me Leader, 2 squad leaders, 1sq Heavy Inf, 2sq AT.

1sq is Red, 2sq is Blue. They each have a Bradley

at their disposal. Bradleys are white and i control them.

1 and 2 sq board vehicles. I send them to destination.

I order 1st and 2nd to dismount. I send Bradleys to

target area.

ISSUE: they wont fire. They aquire targets but dont fire.

Hey I've noticed that once your AI squad member get wounded to where the medic need to heal him, that where after he is healed he never crouches or goes prone in danger/stealth mode. to have to manually lye him down or make im crouch through commands. just kind of annoying because when my squad is under fire, they just stand straight up and don't take cover. anyone know how to fix this?

I've got a network issue, just confirmed that it was ACE causing it.

When I'm hosting my own, non-dedicated, local game and other players fire anti-tank missiles my whole internet connection dies for a moment (TS and Xfire lose connection and wont reconnect until I close and re-open them). It also happens when I try to join someone else's hosted server and also when another player sends a fire order with R3F's Artillery mod on my server.

Any ideas anyone?

Sorry, but lulz, you post in the ACE thread details of a 'bug' involving missile fire while revealing you're running Mando Missile at the same time (which I can assure you does much more than "adds Hud and FLIR"). Maybe your test scenario should be run with one and then the other, it's a wild, crazy idea I know but it might just throw up something actually worth reporting.
