nominesine 0 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Current Version: 0.85BETA Requirements: ArmA2 v. 1.05 Addons: None Download: OFPEC (Download link attached to first forum post) Help wanted: This mission is nearly finished, and playable. But I need playtesters before I release a final version. Please don't mirror or publish the unfinished mission outside OFPEC without my written permission. Single Player: In Altar Pieces you must lead your infantry squad and destroy an enemy artillery outpost, situated on the top of the Altar mountain in central Chernarus. In order to reach it your squad must fight it's way through 3,5 kilometers of enemy territory. A combined force of USMC infantry, armor and air units are participating in the operation. Multiplayer: If you chose to play the mission as Multiplayer Coop, you and the other players may control these other units as well. Enemy resistance is dynamic. Every squad that is under human control will unleash more enemy forces in the area of operations. Notes: The mission utilizes the Ambient Combat Module (ACM) and the Secondary Operations Module (SOM). Edited March 1, 2010 by nominesine

VanhA-ICON 11 Posted March 4, 2010 Played this through last night with 2 friends. Very intense and good feeling. I played as the tank commander, lost the other tanks except my own and made a flanking manouver at the end and took out the arty outpost. We enjoyed it very much. The radio chatter makes it really feel like "being there" 2 thumbs. :)
nominesine 0 Posted March 4, 2010 Good to hear that the MP bit is working as well. I'll run one more test with my own friends, and await a few more test reports. Then I'll release the final version (with a few suprises thrown in). Thanks for the feed back.
wiggum2 31 Posted March 4, 2010 I dont really played the mission yet but what i can say from my quick try yersterday: Cool intro and briefing but saddly the immersion was broken at the beginning of the mission, seeing the tank and a truck crashing all the time... I know you are not able to make the AI drive better but thats something i really look after while playing, if such strange things happen the immersion gets lost, and if they happen at the begining of a mission... But thats not relating to the mission itself, maybe you can look at AI waypoints driving at the beginning.
nominesine 0 Posted March 5, 2010 Not really a problem. I just have to move their initial positions a wee bit. In fact it's already done in the update Ã'm about to release. Thanks for the heads up though.
Hunter123 10 Posted March 5, 2010 Hi I've tested your mission in Single Player. Only big Problem: My Squad appears to be unable to use formations.
tawah 13 Posted March 6, 2010 Hi, After trying yesterday this mission in SP, I've never been able to complete one of the secondary mission like : ''there's a convoy near to you, can you attack it ?'' Battlemage have cancelled every mission he gave me about 1 minute after the first call. Have someone else already noticed this ?
nominesine 0 Posted March 6, 2010 @hunter: Fixed in upcomming patch @Tawah: You must use the communications menu and accept the secOps missions to activate them.

76 0 Posted March 7, 2010 So as a coop mission could you specify player numbers and other important mission info... saves me the dl, unpbo and load up to work it out. thx
nominesine 0 Posted March 7, 2010 could you specify bla bla bla... saves me the dl, unpbo and load up to work it out. Short answer: No (since this isn't the final version and your lack of patience suggests you will be happier with another mission) ;)
