Chumba 10 Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) Is there a way to make the whole world view make short sharp "jumps" without the player moving? This is in the context of trying to change how recoil is done - ie. the actual problem with recoil in the game is that the player isn't actually experiencing any recoil.... only the weapon "jumps" - which looks and feels really strange - player should "jump" with the weapon so it's the rest of the view that should actually be moving (a combo of both the world and the weapon moving would be ideal). Edit: Ok, I've realised that recoil works the way I want when using scopes optics - can anyone tell me how to make the same recoil effect (ie. world jumps instead of weapon) when using iron sight, holo and aimpoint "optic" view?? [aps]gnat 23 Posted February 26, 2010 FOV settings are set on ArmAII loading, so I don't think its possible to dynamicly adjust a units veiw. Only a "camera" I suspect.
Chumba 10 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) What's got me lost is that in iron sight optic, AIMpoint optic and Holo optic - the weapon optic view jumps when the weapon is fired - but when using a scope optic view, the optic stays still - ie. centred on the screen - and the WORLD jumps. From a layperson point of view a scope optic is just another optic isn't it?? If so, how is the different recoil visual effect configured? Chumba 10 Posted April 23, 2010 (edited) Bump - what I'm talking about is simply making ALL firing recoil effects the same as when scopes are being used - ie. wehn using a scope, the scope HUD stays STATIONARY in the centre of the screen and it's the WORLD VIEW that "jumps" - yet when using iron sights and other optics the WORLD stays still and the optic HUD "jumps" - this just isn't right!! - it needs to be the same as when using the scope! And I'm not talking about changing FOV - I'm talking about how the FOV is made to MOVE in response to recoil. And I'm not talking about changing or adjusting recoils - I'm talking about how the FOV is made to MOVE in response to recoil.
