AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 140W Quad-Core Processor ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL tx 650w power supply corsari video card envidia 9800 geforce GTX+ for some reason my power supply over heat whe a play arma2 other game i dont have problems and my setting are in high but it takes like 30 minutes and it get realy hot any suggestions pls. Bulldogs 10 Posted February 11, 2010 It's likely that Arma 2 is the only game stressing both your graphics card and CPU enough to force the PSU to fully load them with power. You could try opening up the side of the case and blowing a fan in there for a temporary solution, but I'd suggest making sure you have sufficient airflow to the PSU through extra fans in the case and making sure your computer case isn't near a wall or anything that could block airflow to the back of the case. Also check that your PSU doesn't have a manual fan speed switch. If it does then turn it up higher. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
[frl]myke 14 Posted February 11, 2010 Probably the airflow in you pc case needs optimizing. Also check if the fan of the PSU is working. For airflow, it depends on your case but as a general basic rule: front low in, back high out. Means, have one (or more) intake fans at the fronts bottom and one (or more) outtake fans at the back as high as possible. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
