bangtail 0 Posted February 8, 2010 (edited) So, I've been playing this since launch day and I am LOVING it. It's sort of a cross between Tribes and Planetside. If you like that kind of thing, I'd strongly suggest checking it out. Anyone else playing? http://www.globalagendagame.com/ http://www.globalagendagame.com/TheGame_Conquest.html Edited February 8, 2010 by BangTail

Pathy 0 Posted February 9, 2010 I went in on a 4 pack with other VCB members, we had great fun the first day, abit less fun the second day, even less fun the third day, and most of us were completely bored of it by the 4th day. We enquired about a refund and they said all 4 players had to be willing to refund....not a single one of us hesitated. The trouble is depth. Or complete lack of it. The missions are identical, everything looks the same. Theres some fun to be had in PvP, but again, it eventually gets boring. The zone control map - well, again, fight over indistinguishable hexes that....all look the same as each other. And then......its all 10vs10. Even the zone control is just a series of identical looking 10v10 instanced fights. The only instance where you'll ever see more than that is in the domes....where you get 50. What you have is basically a TF2 style shooter, with a 10v10 limit, no server browser, just automatch, and a glorified lobby (the domes). Yeah, theres some crap about controlling sectors getting you extra resources, but I'd rather stab myself in the eye with a tire iron than play another identical looking 10v10 instance to find out. Yep, you really have to be doing the Conquest PvP in a clan to get the most out of it. I like the Merc PvP as well but the 4 man thing is really just to acquaint you with the game. As far as the 10v10 Merc PvP or Conquest goes, the maps are all pretty different and there are several different game types and endless strategy. I've been playing it solidly for 10 days now and I'm still addicted. It's not everyone's cup of tea to be sure. Glad you got your money back though. Steam is usually really good like that (unlike D2D). Edited February 9, 2010 by BangTail
ICE-Raver 10 Posted March 1, 2010 I was looking at this game pretty closely but the you tube videos kinda turned me off. You say it's really good though?
bangtail 0 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) I was looking at this game pretty closely but the you tube videos kinda turned me off. You say it's really good though? I've been playing every day for over a month now. It's one of the best TvT games I have played since Tribes. The only small issue I have with Hirez (the dev) is the proposed subscription model that will be introduced for AvA (conquest) at the end of March. There is no way anyone will pay $13.00 a month for what is on offer at present and it could seriously damage the game's playerbase if they try to force it on people. I suspect the amount will be drastically reduced or dumped altogether. They have plans to add ALOT of stuff before then, so maybe that will justify the cost. I should note that the sub (which is NOT in effect at present and may well not be implemented) will only apply to the AvA part of the game, everything else is covered in the retail price. Hope that helps :) Edited March 1, 2010 by BangTail
