ladlon 10 Posted January 19, 2010 Is there an explanation of the individual difficulty setting elements (ex. Enemy Tag, etc) somewhere? My forum search for them didn't come up with anything. Failing that, could someone give me an explanation of them (or some of them)? Failing THAT, could someone tell me what I need to disable to get rid of the white circles around animals! I thought it was Friendly Tag, but it seems to show it even though I've disabled it... sometimes. (Cue Twilight Zone music...)
CarlGustaffa 3 Posted January 19, 2010 The tag shows up in vanilla Arma when you point at a friendly or enemy. Like, "rifleman, 14m, green for friends, red for enemy, yellow for unknown. To get rid of the white circles, you have to increase your difficulty to regular. Recruit mode seems to enforce them afaik.
Alex72 0 Posted January 19, 2010 Yep those "blobs" are a compensation in the game for SA (Situational Awareness) wich you have a bit better in real life. See CarlGustaffa's solution to turn it off. :)
ladlon 10 Posted January 19, 2010 Ahhhhh..... Okay. I thought I was going insane there. (Well, there's still evidence pointing to that, but that's another story) Thanks. I'm upgrading to Regular difficulty then! I'm tired of the 'glowing sheep'....

ladlon 10 Posted January 20, 2010 (edited) Cool. There's usually something buried somewhere! Thanks, Dead3yez I'm still not sure about the clock display. Even though it's enabled, I don't think I've ever seen it. Something else to tinker with.... ...as long as I don't have to deal with glowing sheep, I'll be happy.
