Medevac Module

This is not working for muliplayer coop for me for some reason. What do i need to add to make it work in multiplayer?

It's still under development. The module itself currently does not work in MP. I'm sure Goliath will work on it some more when he gets the time.

Hi guys! Sorry for the long wait but finally I'm now fully operative to finish this module..Thanks Thirdup for the responses! Thank you all guys for the support! I will try to sort out all the MP issues :D

Tested in editor and all appears to function as intended.

Compiled .pbo and placed on dedicated server.

First Pass:

Helo and crew present.

Call Medevac present and functioning

Abort option present until smoke

Smoke functioning

Helo arrived and team disembarked

*Helo kept teleporting between 5 and ~50 feet

*No option to board or abort.

Stuck at that point

(my guess is that it just glitched in the hover and was out of range to get the boarding option. We've seen this before in early testing.)

Second Pass:

Appeared to function normally.

Boarded helo.

*No radio call to RTB available.

Stuck at that point.

Third Pass:

Appeared to function normally.

Boarded helo.

*No radio call to RTB available.

Again, stuck.

I'll have another go at it during lunch.

* Did NOT test with another player yet

All radio chatter (voices) are present. Both to-and-from helo.

The only text I see is my character transmitting "Smoke Grenade Out" at marking LZ. Also getting notice when corpsman joins team ("Four follow one").

Did another pass to test:

Helo and crew present.

Call Medevac present and functioning

Abort option present until smoke

Smoke functioning

Helo arrived and team disembarked

Can board helo

*Again, no radio call to RTB available.

Stuck at that point.

*also noticed that the coprsman/crew can get stuck trying to cross under hovering helo. Corpsman would not re-board when ordered. I *think* this is related to the hover/holding patern itself.

I've solved the RTB Radio bug..

Have you test the Abort action?

Neg. The "Abort Medevac" is present but not fucntioning on the dedicated server. Confirmed with three passes.

I'm headed out for a bit but will check back in when I return.

solved that "call medevac" menu problem already?^^

personaly i think thats the worst-.-" in a real mission you can not play with that option poping up every time

*No audio (nine-line, etc)

Abort option present until smoke

Abort functioning and medevac resetting

Smoke functioning

*Smoke duplicated if call/abort/recall

Helo arrived and team disembarked

*Helo still warping/teleporting between 5 and ~50 feet

*Cannot board helo

RTB radio call present and functioning

Helo RTBs

*Cannot test reinsert (cannot board warping helo)

Did not test with second player, yet.

Looks like you're getting very close to all "working as intended".

Issues:

No radio sound fx

Helo hover/warp

Might want to look into a way to delete smoke shell from inventory if aborted

The radio chatter is off because is turned off in the unit_array file so it's normal

I'm near to accomplish the work! :D

Question regarding your Medevac module

We have been trying to use your module, but have found it works great in SP, but when in MP it acts alittle funny... can you give any detail regarding incompatible mods it cannot run alongside etc...we are having synchro errors, CBA mismatchs, scripted smoke not working, all players cannot hear dialogs, only host has the medevac option on mouse scroll, even though all units have been synched to the mod... any and all suggestions would be of great help as we see a huge potential with this mod.. all players in test had the mod loaded per the readme instructions included with your file..

The Medevac Module (MM) actually is not MP compatible..at the moment I'm trying to make it fully MP compatible ;)

Hi guys!

I'm trying to figure out all the MP issues and eliminate the 'Call in Medevac' from the action menu and add it on 'Radio calling'. If anyone knows about at how to add an action in the command menu (SpaceBar -> Communication) please, send me how to ;)

mabey you could ask the people who made Group Link 4, if my memory serves me correctly they used that menu in the radio bit (the one where the SecOps stuff comes up) for various things.

oh btw just used it in MP today just thort id say what i came across it may be of some help i duno

I had two player in the same group both synced to the module (because it displayed an error medivac madule must be sysnced to a player for the second player)

the action to call for medivac on displayed when i looked at my team mate (i was host and teamleader)

i wasent given and red smoke when extracting (had t reort to ordering my team mate to board the chopper so it landed)

reinserts worked fine except for i kept gaining abort reinsertion actions into the action menu for each time i reinserted
