vilas 477 Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) are there are any Belarussians ? Ukrainians ? we have a lot of info about US soldiers armament, Russians but i wonder, what is main rifle in Belarus, Ukraine ? please - native answers, not "me guess" from not-military-native , cause they may have false information, like some ASG players have wrong info and show AK47SU Krinkov which has nothing to reality ;) i wonder what variant is most common and etc. or Bulgarians ? i know that US have: M16A4, M4A1, M249, M240B, M136, M24 etc. i know Russians have AK74M, AK74 plum, AK 74 wood (in what proportions?) Poles have Beryl with EOT (wikipedia is wrong showing other type of scopes, wikipedia took info from manufacturer who wanted sell his or PZO production scopes , while MoD ordered massively EOTs, thats why i would not rely on wikipedia too much in such issues), AKMS Germans have G36 but what about : - Ukrainians - big country, army quite big as for Europe - Belarussians - Bulgars please say something, with what variant, what furniture (wood, plastic plum, black plastic , scope models ) Edited January 7, 2010 by vilas
Tonci87 163 Posted January 7, 2010 Here have the Infrantry armament of the Croatian Army, as you can see it is well mixed, I guess its the same in Belarus and Ukraine http://www.vojska.net/eng/armed-forces/croatia/equipment/infantry/
vilas 477 Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) I guess its the same in Belarus and Ukraine absolutely not the same and thats why i asked native people from there, not "someone found something in google" like i said about Poland and scopes for Beryl of course thanx for info about Croatia but CDF looks like Ukraine camo, so easily CDF can be turned to quasi-Ukrainian addon and Belarus - what main camo now they use ? vilas 477 Posted January 7, 2010 i don't know how accurate are yours MoD info, my MoD info is wrong in many cases: http://www.wp.mil.pl/en/strona/142/LG_103_104 Tantal, phased out with all 5.45 mm ammo, now used by Iraq new army, PM63 phased out, DP 1927/1928 ... quite funny and even info about 2S7 Pion there is webmaster should get punishment for such "work" or it is "contr-intel disinformation" heheh nevermind i wait if there will be info about Ukraine, Belarus, Bulgaria - about models, furniture and such like for example in Poland some years ago AKMS was main use rifle, some norht-of country region units had AKM , but all info was saying about AKM being more popular "realistic" addon of Polish soldier from year 2000 would appear with AKMS, while "googled soldier" would have AKM, many of my friends that have been in army , for year of service never seen wooden stock AK ;) but all info about Polish army was saying "AKM" thats why i asked in first post :) if CDF camo is like Ukraine , so i wonder wooden AK74, wooden AKS74, AK7 in plastic furniture or what ? :)
echo1 0 Posted January 7, 2010 I read that the Ukrainian arms manufacturer Fort got a licence to manufacture the Tavor rifle. I'm not sure whether they intend on replacing their AK-74s with Tavors, or whether it is just for special forces, but there you go anyway.
vilas 477 Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) i get some infos in other place - Belarus - mostly wooden AK74 (camo identical like Russian early 90's VSR camo but more saturated) Ukraine - mostly wooden AKS74 (camo like CDF and many KLMK still in use) all weapons "after USSR army" Edited January 7, 2010 by vilas
Mr_Harding 1 Posted January 7, 2010 Hi! I'm Ukrainian, so I'm quite interested in having proper guns:). Today Ukrainian Armed Forces still use AKs. Mechanized troops use old good AK-74 both wooden and plastic Marines and Airmobile forces use AKS-74 with plastic stock like this: SF prefers AKM with PBS-1 silencer, and AKS-74 which are often seen with wooden grips and reflex sights(Aimpoint): That is all for standart rifles, I mean different special units may use other weapons. For example, I've seen pictures of Ukrainian ISAF contingent with G36 rifles. That's a real shame that our army have cruel financial problems and new weapons come in such little amount. It is true, that few weeks ago Israeli Tavor, Galil & Negev were applied, but it is for police and interior troops. If you want info not only about assault rifles, look here. Only SAKO TRG-42 sniper rifle isn't mentioned here. Also, you may ask me personally anything about Ukrainian army. ...but CDF looks like Ukraine camo, so easily CDF can be turned to quasi-Ukrainian addon... That's not true, this camo was used by Ukrainie in the past, now we have "forest #2"(so called "dubok"(oak in Russian)). I'm currently working on Ukrainian modification, so if you're interested - write PM me.
