Situation:

Corrupt parts of the Molatian army is making money on dealing weapons to highest bidders including terror cells. Your team has been assigned to do the job of "dealing" with these arms dealers.

You like the Chammies better than the VOP? just curious.

Some of the sounds yes but M4 sounds for instance are too "flat", they should be more loud and sharp. But it's only a beta so many things can change :)

Exactly what I thought, some sounds are great, but, the M4 and other guns sound too much like just a "Pop" or "thump" and not a real "bang" like I would expect an M4 to sound like (I have heard them shot on a range before), but yeah it's beta so we could be suprised down the road.

JW i get this when I go to play this mission:

"you cannot play/edit this mission it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted. Molatian.Army"

According to the version I downloaded, this mission also requires some other addon (bb_mercenary). I downloaded that mod but the mission still wouldn't work since the Mercenaries addon (which was made for ArmA not ArmA2) causes a message about how it needs "version 1.08 of the application" in order to run. In the end, I de-pbo'd the mission, removed the reference to bb_mercenary and recompiled it...once that's done, the mission loads properly.

As much as I appreciate all the hard work involved in making these missions, it'd be really nice if more people would test their missions themselves using only the specified mods before posting them.

Anyway, I plan to try out the mission tomorrow...from what I saw in the video, it looks like a lot of fun.

It's the Mercenaries and BlackOps mod for ArmA 2 it's asking for!

I have tested the mission and it ran fine for me as i already got that mercenaries mod which isn't used but i had mercenaries units in the editor and then removed them again, the editor doesn't remove the entries in the mission file so i have to do it manually but i forgot!

Which sound mod is that in the video? Sounds quite nice!

Only Chammy's sound mod I could find was for Arma and not Arma 2? Please clarify if I'm missing something.

JW I noticed in your video that there are several objectives when you clicked on your map, in my game there is only "Destroy radio tower" and very very few terrorist's evn though I have the "Molatian Army" mod installed? when you download the "Molatian Army" mod the folder is the same as @duala which the map is in, I placed the pbo's for the"Molatian Army" in my existing @duala folder and that is what I got.

I will place the MA pbo's in my addons folder to see if that works better, but, should my map show a few objectives or just 1 to start and then after complete it will show more? seems like something is wrong here. Thanks.

When you complete the first objective you'll get a new one.

The numbers of enemies are random so don't worry. If you don't get enough challenge then turn up difficulty or turn off crosshair(my missions are designed for no crosshair so it might be too easy with it on).

Oh ok, yeah I dont like crosshairs at all, was just curious as to why I did not see many terrorist's.

Played it 2 player coop yesterday. Good mission with a few glitches:

~ Could do with some armament selection in the beginning of the mission, and some weapon/ammo crates in the camps.

~On the way to 4th objective a friendly Littlebird started attacking the bad guys and basically wiped them out. This is apart form the Littlebird support that we never called.

~ 4th Objective - destroy fuel supply. There were no fuel, just a roof of an old fuel station. Nothing that would signify a fuel supply. And even if there was a target, we did not have any explosives available.

Other than that the mission work well, was very unpredictable, and kept us on our feet. Had to keep re-arming team members from bodies as they sprayed a lot of ammo.

No sorry i won't add crates as i wanna force roles, but your welcome to edit the mission to your liking just remember to rename it :)

The littlebirds shouldn't be able to fly unless they are called in from the action menu. Maybe you by accident ordered AI to call them in, they can use your action menu too.

It was probably the littlebirds shooting the "gas station", was the marker green on your map?

Your demolition man should have 2 satchels, if he died you should have taken his satchels :)

Sorry, I have the wrong mission in this thread. It was most probably the demo man that went down, and I didn't check his loadout. I suspected that the Littlebirds destroyed the fuel, but there was no debris or any burnt out containers. The marker was still red on the map, and probably the reason for the mission not ending.

After I saw the mission isn't going to end, I called in the Littlebirds, and another 2 appeared making it a total of 3 flying around over us, so I am sure someone didn't order them by accident.

JW how do I get my demolitions man to blow the radio tower?

Select your demo man and move him close to the tower, when his next to the tower select him press 6 and press the number saying "put satchel" or something like that, place 2 satchels. Then move your team away and when your far enough away your demo man will automatically detonate satchels :)

When you call in littlebirds there are 3 in total :)

When you blowup that "gas station" which for some reason already was destroyed you'll get yet another objective before mission ends. I'll try change that "fuel supply" objective to something else :)

hi im having issues with several isla_duala missions

i updated the ACE2 mod to version 208

when i try to play your missions the units start without any weapens

only grenades "cant find/locate/open bin m4 aimpoint somthing like that"

same with Drug Enforcement Operations: Poison Ivy Co-06,

and Mercenaries & Terrorists Co-06.

tought i let u know, maybe more people with this issue..

Maybe the M4 Aimpoint has changed classname but i can't test it as for some reason i can't update ACE so i'm stuck on version 203 !!!

yes i had the same problem

at first my updater never got updated via web-updater and i needed to use the lame way,

now i just re downloaded the updater and other files needed,

selected vanilla.

now it works via web updater and im updated to V 208

i also missed 3 updates...

Ok i just managed to get my ACE updated after doing a system restore... weird shite lol :p

I will test that error thingy your getting tomorrow :)

Just tested and i have no problems, everything seems fine here!

Wow JW this mission is difficult even in "regular" mode, any tips or pointers, there is alot of enemy running around and having my demolition men survive is really tough, great mission though I truly enjoy it.
