N1ghteyes 10 Posted January 1, 2010 I have been messing round trying to make my own missions and the one thing I can not figure out is high command transports. I have 1 squad which is a transport helicopter And 1 squad of marines Now I have tried setting a waypoint to the helicopter before it takes of with the get in command set and that does not work. I have tried setting 2 way points on top of each other (LOAD and GET IN) that does not work. I have tried setting the choppers waypoint over the troops set to LOAD and that does not work. I cant think of anything else to try. If the helicopter and the troops are in the same squad that i command i can get it to work but this is not what I am aiming for. My senario consits of HIGH COMMAND module, MY SQUAD, TROOPS SQUAD and HELICPOTER. In case I have missed an essential component. Thanks for the help. I really hope the whole high command interface gets redone so its much easier to work with. On a second not has anyone managed to command an AI to VTOL land in an V22? Thanks for the help! JoeyNickel 10 Posted January 1, 2010 It's been a while I tried playing around with the editor, but as far as I found out, the only way to move infantry in a chopper was using the "movein xxx" command. The animations are missing and the infantry get's "beamed" in the chopper, but it was the only thing that worked for me. Dunno if that has been fixed in the meanwhile. N1ghteyes 10 Posted January 1, 2010 Thanks for your responce. To clarify I am trying to do it using the high command interface whilst in mission. But thank you for that Joey I have not yet really tried giving set orders in the editor yet, will come in handy later
Alex72 1 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) Make a MOVE command on the map for your AI team your commanding and hold CTRL as you click that first waypoint out. Without letting CTRL go click again close to the helicopter and now release CTRL and RIGHT CLICK on the second waypoint you just created. A menu comes up. Choose the top alternative (wich brings up waypoint actions). Choose GET IN. Done. ;) Its a bit of a drag and should be made better. Maybe later in OA. EDIT: Have a pilot manned helicopter under your command (wich i guess you have?) that way you can order it to fly somewhere where your AI team is. Then do as i wrote. Make 2 WP where the last one is close to the helicopter and click RMB on top of the WP - choose top selection - GET IN. Then order the helicopter to fly somewhere and chose the AI team again and make a close WP with GET OUT. Take it from there. I can't get it to work still though. I can get them into an empty MTVR but not a High Command controlled Helicopter (on the ground) or AAV. I'm fairly sure that I am doing exactly what you said. Bluedog 0 Posted January 3, 2010 I have fiddled around with exactly the same scenario in HC mode trying to figure it out. The only way I could get it to work was as Nighteyes said, by putting the AI manned transport vehicle in the same group as the guys I want moved. A rather suboptimal solution to say the least. Is here a way to synchronize two group's waypoints in HC mode the same way you would do in the editor with F5 and drag a line? It seems to me that that would solve the problem entirely, and I wouldn't be surprised to find it was there and working in game somewhere, I just haven't found it yet.
