Yestedays uptade changed the signature files so if you couldnt uptade it yesterday to beta 2 uptade 10,this could be the problem.And maybe your favarute servers are running diffrent mods with ace.check their website and forums.

LAunching six-update GUI...."could not open database file"...help me.

Exactly same problem here. Reinstall did nothing. Was running good until last update of six-updater.

Hi folks! Imagine what, I cannot install ACE2 mod!!!!

That crappy updater v0.4.1 refuses to work at all and the developer site seems built to be read only by programmers or IT specialist. I cannot understand a single word. Any video or instruction posted anywhere presumes that the Six updater works, that is precisely my problem, infact:

When I use the GUI, I got this message: ERROR: NO MIGRATION WITH VERSION NUMBER 2

Six updater site tells: If it doesn't please try surfing to: http://localhost:16333 or http://127.0.0.1:16333 ... too bad that both links are broken.

Using the CONSOLE presume you have a cfg file that is created by using the the GUI... are we are again, it doesn't work! And there isn't any copy of that cfg file in the Dev site!

Now, what am I supposed to do with the 600MB 7Z file of the ACE mod? Why the hell didn't they used the good old, simple method? Is it too simple for you guys? Big downloads are not a problem for us, remember we got through FFAR mod, ECP, LIBERATION 41-45, FDFmod, Pedagne mod, etc.... a new bunch of GB to download will not scare anyone.

For those with database/migration issues, please uninstall the software, make sure you remove the configuration files.

Then reinstall the new 0.4.2 setup

Its not that hard... But I would guess that sooner or later, we'll see a single file .exe that install all mod files, the updater and preset it? That shouldnt be too much work I think.

I havent experienced any of these issues myself but at a glance its quite obvious that the first step (ie basic download of the mod) really should be easier or ACE will loose out on players. And that's not good for any of us.

I don't think that anybody here will explain again why we are using SIX-Updater, specially during beta phase (which still isn't over yet).

There are enough other methods to get ACE 2. If someone isn't able to invest a few minutes to get things sorted and only comes here to write crap then he won't get any support. It's easy as that.

And as you can see, Sickboy is allmost 24/7 here in BIF and tries to fix problems related to the updater and helps where he can.

since the last update i cant use the updater at all. I wont update the right versions (always skip) and i cant change my presets trough web , it wont connect and close right away.

I don't think that anybody here will explain again why we are using SIX-Updater, specially during beta phase (which still isn't over yet).

I'm not complaining about it, I think its a great and fast way of handling the mod. Its the only reason why I've been able to keep up with updating (and unfortnutely the same reason why I often get mismatched versions, lol).

Sickboy is doing an excellent job too, I dont think I've quite seen so much dedication to a mod thread.

Mind you, if you reinstall the software, and needed the 'chcp workaround' before, it must be reapplied after installing the software.

Please close all apps and try again, updated libraries again :)

If still issues, please create a ticket, attach logfiles (if poss screenshots) and details.

no i dont I allso dont think its funny being ignored to.

i have made many posts many of then have been ignored with not even a sorry i dont know.

Im sorry to keep posting I just want ACE2 to be as good as it can be I wasent sure if it was ACE or the ARMA 2 engine causing the warping.

So who had the wonderful idea of making the tusk armor even stronger ? Not trying to disrespect the creators, the mod is awesome, but cmon, didnt ace claim to bring balance ? You just made it even worse so far. I rather have ka's 1 shooting armors from 6 km away like in vanilla then hitting a tusk with 2 metis and 4 rpg7 and they are not even disabled, 4 vhkr hits to kill a tusk, really ?! t90 vs tusk battles are also pretty pathetic now and lets not even talk about giving so many new toys to blufor while giving pretty much nothing to opfor, besides a nerfed metis. Will we ever see any balance in ace or this is how its gonna be ?

I have a problem with the ace2 beta.I have to hold down shift inorder to do normal things like crouching,running,switching weapons etc rather than only holding shift down for the ACE keys.How can I fix this??

can someone tell me how to make a glowstick emit light

I can only make them green in the dark when I spawn them in a weaponsholder

this is what I use "ACE_Knicklicht_G_Used" but they do not emit light like when you throw them or use them.

Can someone tell me what I need to use?

If you are having technical problems running six-updater on your PC, you can try the alternative method of updating/installing ACE mod using Yoma AddonSync and our YAS ACE repository.

Ive now been able to install the new beta after copying .cfg file to app folder. But i havnt been able to launch the config. website and i got no launcher so i launch it with alpinestars

I don't know if this is a genuine problem or not, but for some reason I don't have an aiming reticule in-game anymore. So the only way to aim is by looking down the sights/ through the scope. It also means that I can't move the reticule over other units to see who they are (really annoying when playing medic).

I understand if this is part of the ACE mod for the purposes of realism, but I seem to gather from other players online that they do have an aiming reticule. Is there any way to fix this problem.

N.B When I play without the ACE mod I do have an aiming reticule, so I doubt it's anything to do with my personal game settings.

It's true, that ACE 2 has some disbalance behind Opfor and Blufor. Playing Warfare, for example, M1A1 and M1A2 Tusk have very big advantages in armor. In this case, 4 or 5 M1A1 tanks can eliminate everything on there way. ACE 2, without doubts, excellent mod, but this disbalance brings many inconveniences...

We are working very hard on the armor situation as already answered in many tickets about the issues.

On the road towards 1.00 we hope to resolve them.

In case of armor, we will not balance too much, but reported bugs, and missing (system) damage scripts etc, do make it unfair.

Please, setup tickets with your issues, or wait patiently while we are sorting everything out.

@New model requests;

Our modelers work on what they prefer, if that'll be other kind of gear at some point; who knows.

Otherwise, welcome to create models or point us to existing ones, so we can try a permission request instead :)
