Fiya 10 Posted February 4, 2010 Love the mod, great addition to the game. I almost exclusively play with ACE, and now have been incorporating it into my missions. I also am very grateful at how often ACE gets updated and improved. It seems ACE has no limits! I expect ACE to evolve far longer than ARMA itself. (As we have seen it the past.) On a random note, could anyone perhaps help me with a possibly ACE related problem? I'm looking to use the ACE rucksack system, with specifc RU Spetsnaz units. The problem being that they already have 'rucksacks' of sorts built into the avatar. Using the ACE rucksacks ontop shows a ton of overlap/tearing. I've tried every bag, hoping one could either go over, or be small enough to go under... None work. Is there anyway to make the rucksacks invisible, smaller, bigger, or perhaps just use the function of it. (No respawns intended BTW.) I've tried other backback systems. None that I have tried give the functionality of the ACE ones. (In terms of use/interface, being able to store anything, needed and impact on weight.) I don't want to clutter this thread, so if you know anything that may help me, or any other system/script that I could use to reproduce the desired effect, let me know! (In a PM.) Thanks for the great mod! And possibly any helpful information. Fiya
USMCWall 0 Posted February 4, 2010 AFAIK, any unit with any sort of pack attached to its model by default is going to have issues with the way it appears over the ACE packs, even if the unit has an ACE pack already on, even the second identical pack will still mess up. Essentially, you're SOL.
jasonnoguchi 11 Posted February 4, 2010 Love the new HK416 models! Great textures and nice magpul! Would be even better if the recoil signature isn't exactly the same as the M4 as it has a totally different piston and barrel and that if magpul actually makes reloading faster...hehehehe
maturin 12 Posted February 4, 2010 Hmmn, Hellfires for the Cobra are broken with the latest patch. No matter what launch mode or crew position you choose, they go straight up in the air. The apache works, but its missiles direct fire no matter what mode you choose. And I just updated my config.
clawhammer 10 Posted February 4, 2010 Nice HK416 Models, what are the class names for they? Are there more than 3 Variants? (Just find the weapons in the special weapon create). Hope there are some Versions planned with ACOG,AimPoint Eotech sights and M203 :)

Drumheller 19 Posted February 4, 2010 So... static gunners are taking 20-60 shots to kill again, corpses are sliding around and shooting me up. These issues were fixed a couple of months ago but now they're back :( Also, Tanks are constantly getting randomly one-shotted from god knows where. Very frustrating. Alex72 1 Posted February 4, 2010 MacScottie: Its not easy for the ACE team to both work on making this huge mod and test every aspect of it at the same time. If they would do that i bet you wouldnt have ACE to play with yet. They give us ACE for free and we play it and report the things we find not working properly. Its a rather good deal if you ask me. The CIT (link Sickboy gave above) is there for exactlly that - report the issues you find or vote for the issues that are already ticketed. Ive noticed that issues most often are fixed til the next release wich is every 2-3 days. Like i said, thats a pretty darn good deal. ;)
ryan80 10 Posted February 4, 2010 in the latest .239 update. there is a new option in the ace_clientside_config.hpp file its called #define ACE_IMMERSIVE_DISMOUNT anyone can kindly explain whats it for?
jasonnoguchi 11 Posted February 4, 2010 (edited) Loving the new RAUFOSS rounds! They seriously kick light armor ass! In fact, I got one lucky shot on an LAV (for testing purpose) which ignited its fuel and then the whole vehicle... just one shot. Thats just lucky because other times, I would just be able to kill the gunner and disable the turret. Very nice! UPDATE: Tested on a BMP-2 and send it exploding with single hits to the turret... better than AT weapons...?? Edited February 4, 2010 by jasonnoguchi

Dev Heaven writeup. I guess that option turns off the spatial dismount feature? I used that script and it works well, given a couple of tweaks. I don't know if it is currently used as-is in ACE2, but my impression from the posted code is that the movement could be slowed down a tad (say doubled) and the end-position raised and moved back slightly too, to prevent back-of-the-head clipping. Also, there is a minor issue with it in that if you're in a gunner position and are sighted (say the AH64 gun for example) and you leave, the spatial dismount start point is from the weapon itself not the gunner. Herbal Influence 10 Posted February 4, 2010 (edited) Has there been something done in 2010 about what I call the extreme Stamina-Problem, i.e. reduced the - my opinion - much too early exhaustion? :o This is why I avoid ACE2 for the moment. :butbut: Edited February 4, 2010 by Herbal Influence

Give it a spin :). Otherwise, why don't you just disable Stamina, if it sits in your way ?
killswitch 19 Posted February 4, 2010 have tried turning them off via the ace tracking hpp .. this works for me but if others have them enabled then the marker shows any help on turning of the markers for all players would be great See here: How_do_I_turn_off_the_ACE_marker_system_in_my_mission? Herbal Influence 10 Posted February 4, 2010 Yes. Give it a spin :). Otherwise, why don't you just disable Stamina, if it sits in your way ? Thanx for the fast answer. All I found was this this and was left uninformed. But I'll try it again. Just disable it? Oh ... no, I like it very much, basically! :)

Wow very interesting! Have to test this when i get home. :) What ive seen is that people love this so i can safely say without testing it that this should be in without having to INIT it. :) The improvements are awesome. Thanks a lot ACE team for all the hard work. EDIT: Oh thanks Sick for the info. Will give feedback after testing. :) Edited February 4, 2010 by Alex72

sickboy 13 Posted February 4, 2010 I'm getting this error whenever I click "execute" in Six Updater GUI, can anyone help? This happened after my computer crashed last night while I was updating ACE2. I reinstalled Six-Updater. Cleaned my Appdata/Temp folder but it still persists.NoMethodError in MainController#index undefined method `[]' for false:FalseClass Please see http://dev-heaven.net/projects/six-arma-updater/wiki/BugzFirst thing to try is to delete your application data six-updater folder and retry.
