kf19 10 Posted December 16, 2009 Hello I just purchased ARMA 2 and in game 95 % of the trees are all bleach white and the grass is also white There are also white fences walls etc. Explosions dont appear in game. The screen also occasionaly flashes white and gray (mostly at night) making it impossible to see. I have nvidia (Windows XP) and am almost positive I fulfill the minimum requirements for the game. Any help you could give me would be great Thanks kf19

That guy 10 Posted December 16, 2009 I have the exact same problem with my arma II on this machine. it is caused by the processor being far to slow to keep up with the game (I have 1.6 dual core) most textures do not render, there are no particle effects, and lots of objects have a very very low draw distance (10s of meters rather than 100s) what are your computer specs specifically? I am guessing your processor is slow

kf19 10 Posted December 17, 2009 well ur procie isn't too slow , since the minimum requirement is dual core 2.00 GHZ...have u patch the game to the latest ? 1.04 Yes I have. Well I downloaded it (I assume thats all I have to do ie. I dont have to turn it "on"). After talking to some people where I work they said its probably the video card (graphic card?), if that makes sense to you guys. My PC is about 5 years old so... I dont care if I have to play on low settings but at this stage its downright unplayable. The newest PC games I own are Empire TW and Cryses and they run just fine. Thanks for all your help kf19
Bulldogs 10 Posted December 17, 2009 When you start up the game, what number is in the lower right hand corner of the screen? Also, what video card (or graphics card, either is correct) are you using?

special_air_service 10 Posted December 18, 2009 (edited) 1.01.57671Heres my video card info: Prossesor: GeForce 7900 GTX Video BIOS version: 5.71.22.34.07 IRQ:16 Bus:PCI Express x16 Memory:512 MB ForceWare version: 84.21 TV Encoder Type: NVIDIA integraded Hope that helps Thanks kf19 7900 GTX is just a bit better than the minimum requirement, yes probably it is the main problem here... 1.01.57671 ? that means ur game weren't in 1.04 patched... Either u can wait for 1.05 newest patch which will released in this end of december 2009 or if u can't wait any longer, than download the latest patch 1.04 And 1 more thing, since ur trouble is on the graphic aspect right ? have u try 191.07 Nvidia WHQL driver (12% performance increase in ArmA II) or u can try the latest which is 195.62 WHQL, either r good to use. I hope it will help :) Edited December 18, 2009 by Special_Air_Service

Those Nvidia WHQL drivers, are they just settings or could I purchase them at a store? Could you guys recomend a new video card to me? I dont need the best of the best but I need to be sure it would be good enough to fix my problem (Assuming it is the problem). If you could that would be great. Thanks kf19
