mon_diesle 10 Posted December 11, 2009 Seems if I start up my PC with the disc in the drive, I have to restart to get it to recognize. Even if I do wait to put the disc in post-boot I have to open and close the drive at least three times. I have no troubles with any other disc.

mon_diesle 10 Posted December 11, 2009 download latest beta patch, no disc needed to play No way, I don't believe it. I really hope you're not pulling my leg.
ModeZt 0 Posted December 11, 2009 That's true. You don't need a DVD if you run beta-patch. That does not mean they removed dick-protection completely. When the official 1.05 will be out it may have the DVD-check back. So you will have to insert your DVD for a little period of time and wait for the 1.06beta to appear :)
Colt45_GTO 10 Posted December 11, 2009 best bet....as said above, use the Beta's and or... dont start pc with disk in. take disk out before booting ;)
Bulldogs 10 Posted December 12, 2009 Also, consider getting a new DVD drive. Sound like that one is starting to fail... although, my DVD drive has been failing for 2 years and it still hasn't died. Only issues I have with it though are that it takes forever to install Vista/7 (reading problems) and it can't burn or read certain types of disks (layer dependant, highly reflective)
zoog 18 Posted December 12, 2009 My Sony drive has trouble with the disc, just like any other starforce etc game (I think arma uses such disk check DRM)
