GPU_DetectedFramesAhead

Recommended Posts

yes, that can be used to set it. detected just tells you what value has been... detected. changing it does nothing.

thx

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=2;

thats what I've found in my config.

Does it mean the gpu prerender 2 frames for me from the possible max 1000?

Should I change it to 1 to get more fps?

A2 it seems doesnt use any maxframe ahead over 4.So in your NVDA CP setting of 8 (which is a bad idea, and the reason MS put the option in DX9c{march/?}so NVDA would use that hanky panky). will only show the max for the game, But you may have a "Global setting" that is overriding your A2 nvidia profile... hard to say with out seeing your CP? But allot of NVDA users like 3, ATi its seems to be 1. Its to smooth out the game.

Makes my aim very fast:

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=0;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=0;

Makes my game more smooth:

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

I suggest you test with low values. Also check your Nvidia CPL. You probably have it set to 3 (standard). I dont know wich override wich. But i set my Nvidia CPL to 1. There are rather big changes in feel when moving the values around. 1000 as Kju said means you havent done anything with it - not set.
