Im to willing to provide some voice acting, though i only have my ipod to record with. This is on the other hand not a problem after mixing the audio with some radio effects. But if you only want ordinary voices it may be a problem with the soundquality.

Im from sweden and i can speak english with diffrent accents. Mainly, Southern American, Indian American (somewhat) and ofcourse swe-english.

Is there a vault or place where all these recording are being kept?

I think it would be a great tool!! instead of asking for something similar to be recorded over and over by diferent people, we could do a search and grab what we could use, if we dont find it we can then request the recording and add it to the Database...

What do i expect from a voice actor?

- You should be at least be 18 yr old. ( no kiddie voice )

- You should have a decent microphone

- You should have some imagination, and must not be afraid to 'play' with your voice.

- You should be available for voice acting untill 30 december 2012

- Recording your voice acting could take up to 5 hrs per month of your sparetime.

Hello everyone, first of all I am Christian and indeed I am new to this forums, but I've been scripting and playing the game for quite a while :)

Anyways right into the topic, I am the director of a community called "Lawedan", I assumed command recently and we are looking to set in Arma II, the community is here since 2009 and has been modding many other games, sadly lately things aren't going well.

The thing is we have managed to get two writers, they are paid to develop story-lines for other projects but now they have been assigned to work here, one of them is in the army, we trust him as the specialist, yet we don't have anyone elegible to create talk, this is a big problem if we are trying to create a professional mission / campaign.

Apart from this project we may also work on other projects, we expect to release many missions here, I currently can't release the story as it is still under confirmation, you will have it as soon as you join.

Yes, this is an Arma 2 Modding Project, several projects but the first project is called "Lawedan Army", it is a campaign - mission.

I mean things like, how many actors you need, whether there are females also needed, different dialects and what not.

I'm wrapping up a mission design and could really use a couple of voice actors/actresses if anyone is interested in helping out please PM me. Credit will be given to all those that help. Here are the voices I need:

Female 1 - Preferably Heavy Russian or Czech accent

Quite a few lines – she is the stand in commander for the resistance for a cut scene and reappears later on in the mission.

Radio Operator 1 - US/English Accent (male or female)

About 10 lines of text, this is the command radio element.

Physiology Technician- US/English Accent

Part of the flight crew. Will give briefing on the jump.

Contact 1 - Czech or Russian Accent (male)

A couple of lines. Can be done purely in Russian or English with Russian accent.

Hi Guys,

I have nearly completed a kids mission "Old Macdonalds Farm". My kids always want to play ARMA2, but the missus is never happy with them running around with a gun in their hand. The missions intention is for a child to be able to have a run around in an environment which is fun, safe, and where they can't hurt anyone or anything. The environment is interactive you have a number of jobs to do.. I currently have 6 tasks and will add a few more before release. Often kids can't read so hints are not much use so that's where the voice acting comes in.

Therefore I was hoping for an Old Macdonald impersonator to help me out with quite a number of lines. [Maybe 20]. I was imagining an American accent, older but fun for a child to listen to [almost comical but perhaps "animated" is a better word]. If anone is willing and thinks they can do me this favour, please PM me and you will hopefully make the kiddy ARMA2 players out there happy little campers. You of course will be credited as deserved, after all I see the voice is as important as the mission here.

Mission Features:

*Destroying the bee hives with insect rellant [After you find the cans of repellant]

*Catching chickens and roosters for Zeke's favourite chicken pasta dish.

*Finding your lost cows and returning them home.

*Chasing the rabbit plague away from your freshly planted wheat field [you can pick them up].

* Limited gun use [restricted to a skeet shooting area]. Ammo is removed under particular conditions. [No Killing things other than skeets]

* Automated entry and exit from all farm vehicles [Tractors, motorbikes, quads and pushbikes].

* Loads of custom sounds [coughs, farts, burps, Doh's, chickens, Roosters, sheep, cows, music]

* No running out of fuel, or vehicle damage.

* heaps of custom scripts ie. Bee Swarms, gun control, animal spawning etc.

* Howdy Folks, my name is Old MacDonald. I have a number of jobs to do today, but before we start why don't we have a look around the farm.

* Well I never. I have ten cows but I can only see five in the paddock. Let's see if we can find the five lost cows and lead them back too where the other cows are.

* Hey cowpokes, I can see my sheep are in the wrong paddock. We have to round them up and herd them back into the paddock behind the house.

A willing helper would be much appreciated if you think you can do the job.

I will be definitely releasing it publiclly. I know it's probably not for the main stream arma player, but they may find some kind of entertainment value it it briefly. I mostly hope somone else's kids may have some fun with it.

My 6, 4 and 2 year olds where rolling on the floor laughing at one point which is a good sign.

Meanwhile I will continue to build a list of phrases. I of course will be open to the wording of them so long as you get the idea of what is attempting to be portrayed.

m0ou0sp1 Gentlemen! Tomorrow we will launch operation "Hammer Of Thor". Our final objective is to remove General Hassan Jafar from power.

m0ou0sp2 Our priority objective is to conquer the Airfield West of Zargabad. The airfield is heavily defended by AA guns and enemy tanks.

m0ou0sp3 A direct assault on the airport at this stage, is out of question. US aerial combat elements will strike frequently the airfield to weaken their defenses.

m0ou0sp4 1st Brigade 25th mechanized Infantry division, will conduct combat operations to capture key points for the final assault on the airfield. Our right flank must be protected to avoid any surprises.

m0ou0sp5 First objective is to take the village of Shabaz. Once the village has been taken we will proceed North and take out the enemy base.

m0ou0sp6 Operation Ghostrider is next to follow. The town Yarum, Southeast of the airfield, must be taken at all cost. We must secure Yarum first, before launching the final ground assault on the airport.

m0ou0sp7 Once the airfield has been captured we will continue with operation Dressed to kill. We will push further to the East and block all Eastern escape routes out of town.

m0ou0sp8 Our final goal is to surround the capitol to prevent the escape of the General and cut off all supply lines. No one gets in . . . and no one gets out.
