The AI & satchel charges

Looking for some advice on getting my ai squad members to use their satchel charges correctly without blowing up their own team mates. I've had a couple of instances where I've team-switched to a saboteur, placed charges, and then switched back to the team leader, during which time the ai saboteur has thought it a good idea to just detonate the charges. Does a standard 'Hold Fire' order work in this instance? Is it the switching between characters that is causing the problem? Anyone else getting blown up by their friends?

When a AI that 'owns' a planted charge moves 50m away from said charge. He immediately detonates it.

While an 'attack' this does not check for friendly fire. Solution is to be careful when ordering AI to plant charges and be mindful of the 50 meters rule.
