Modern Irish Defence Forces Mod

Recommended Posts

Yes I agree too this "TRexian", someone who has problems with my work, feel free to contact me to PM. And then clarified that. ;)

It is now perfectly clear and there are no problems.

@Aeneas2020

Your great units, be given on the photo to see a beautiful presentation to.

You do not worry these units are your own very clear. Your Work is great, and fits perfectly with the Aug A3 Weapon.

Oh i wasn't worried about anyone doing anything to my work, you have misunderstood me. I just felt the need to throw that in there to add some weight to the fact that it would help to get things resolved at an early stage rather than risking a "he said, she said" arguement closer to release.

The basic AUG A1 and A2 (although all A2's had a picatinny toprail) come with a 1.5x magnification optic built into the weapon, the only "ironsight" on the weapon is an emergency battle sight on top of this optic, this consists of two rear posts and a fore post each with an illuminated dot on them, and are more comparible to a pistol sight than a rifle ironsight.

They were intended for use in CQB or if the optic failed.

lol after all the 1.5 reticule stuff its not even a 1.5 steyr scope on there. Im guessing its a Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T.

Ishmi made the point about the ememgency battle sights and i noticed the guys who modeled it hadnt put any on there so I looked in to it a bit further

Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T

I believe this is a yank civilian Steyr Aug A3 with 1.5 optic

http://www.steyr-mannlicher.com/en/behoerdenwaffen/steyr-aug-a3/

Ranger using the same 1.5 optic

As its a rail weapon anyway have you guys looked in to what other optics the rangers mount on the A3?

From public sources.

Elcan (Not the spectre the old one - may be obsolete in service now)

Meprolight Reflex sight

http://www.onpoi.net/ah/pics/users/448_1083972847_kosovo,0.jpg = that's the standard AUG A1 optic, the EBS are the notches on top.

With the AUG/F88s in A1 the sight was permanently fitted as the sight and receiver (and cocking handle) are all one unit.

You chaps do know it's a subvariant of the original RG32M?

LTV? Yeah, but there are very few source pictures available, so i'm modelling it on the RG-32M for which there are plenty, then making the few changes needed.

Looking very impressive, a nicely polished addon. What other weapon addons can we expect ?

Looking nice, a slighty off topic question.. Can you use Photoshop Elements to reskin textures of units or only the normal photoshop cs...??? Sry...! for offtopic.

so long as the .paa plugin works for elements there is no reason why not but i would suggest you use the search function on the forum next time...or simply try it and see.

if you can also save .tga's with elements (don't know anything about it) you could use the old .paa converstions tools aswell i think.
