Key Points (KPtypes.cfg) - missing?

Recommended Posts

Anyone else not have any key point data loaded for Visitor 3? I can't find the KPtypes.cfg file (which should have the list of key points in it), fresh install of the tools.

You should have the file KPTypes.dat in your Visitor3 folder.

I don't have any file called KPTypes.cfg file in there either.

I don't have that :(

I just did three fresh installs with the visitor tools. Can someone pretty please copy + paste the contents for me here?

I am using the ArmA2 Visitor 3 version so not sure why it hasn't installed :S

---

I checked with a mate of mine who just installed Visitor 3, and he also doesn't have that file either in his Visitor 3 folder...

Hi,

In Visitor there is an option to place keypoints on the map.

When you save your map as a .WRP file it will also save a .HPP file, in this .HPP file all keypoints are included.

To use this .HPP file you have to "include" it in your Config file.

Hmm, ok i'm off topic then..... sorry

I know how to use the keypoints :), I just don't have a KPTypes.dat file. That defines the classes in visitor. The file no longer installs when installing the ArmA2 tools from a fresh install, for some reason.

After searching for *.dat rather than *.cfg (the tutorials/manual says cfg), I found this post:

http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1075630&postcount=178

So got my answer and the layout of the file! Thanks for everyones help. Note to everyone: the release candidate doesn't include the file and you must make it manually.

Thanks for the tip Rocket!

Just tried that, and the Keypoint types do indeed show up correctly in the popdown list now!!

Cheers!
