zachhox 10 Posted November 3, 2009 How can I use ACE's units, vehicles and weapons without actually running it or without it changing my entire UI, gameplay, background pictures and basically everything, even replacing or modifying the arma stock weapons? The models, vehicles etc, are either property of ACE team (models textured etc), or have been donated, exchanged between different other mod teams or individual developers, but those fall under the same EULA. Hence, the models, etc etc are dependent of other ACE content and configs on purpose, and you cannot use them without creating conflicts (although you might want to try and disable some pbos - by moving them out from @ACE/addons - name are self explanatory, but cannot guarantee it will work) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Has one error message about the turrent of teh RBIB but thats about it. Still though, it replaces the stock weapons, some sounds eventhough I don't use the sound pbo. It works but not satisfactory enough. I wouldn't mind using ACE like @MyMod;@ACE;@etc etc but it changes too much, and I can't use it with any other stuff together. Which is unfortunate. It sounds like you don't really need ACE, that's why I directed you to that link. Have you looked at it? All the units and models, and effects, that are in ACE can be installed separately if you find the original release of the mod that was latter included in ACE. That's the closest you will get to have some ACE features and not others. The only thing I couldn't get without ACE is the resting weapon feature, and for good reasons... Yeah, but the versions of things available external to ACE (so basically before ACE) are much older and tend to include bugs that were fixed with later work that fell under the ACE projects umbrella. zachhox 10 Posted November 12, 2009 Oh yes yes Sheba, I read it, sry forgot to thank you, got caught up in the other stuff. :D Its not that I don't like ACE, I just want without some of the changes. In any case I have ALL my other mods and stuff and ALL as I want, this just changes things I don't like. I wish it was more compatible so it could be combined with other stuff and more people/addon makers could make multi use of it. I only want 4 things, thats all :D.
