Hi all, a few things to ask

Hi all, I picked this game up the other week on Steam. Like most people I've hit a lot of the campaign bugs and they're really frustrating but the gameplay underneath all that is great, best tactical shooter I've played in ages. I used to be a big fan of the original Rainbow Six series, this is like R6 meets Flight Sim on steroids :)

Anyway, I've got a few questions to ask:

Is there any way to order which position your AI teammates take when they get into a vehicle? Like any way to order one to be driver or gunner etc? I'm on Dogs of War at the moment, have my squad in an APC and also two tanks as backup. For a while I got in one of the tanks as driver but now when I get out none of the crew will get back in as driver, no matter how many times I order them in and out I still end up with two of them sitting in the back and either no driver or no gunner or both.

That brings me onto the second question, I realize that you can refuel at the command bases of captured towns, if I stand near the base I get the 'repair, heal, refuel' option on the menu. But how do I make sure all of the vehicles in my team get fuel? Does clicking on that menu automatically refuel every vehicle in my team? Also, is there any way to check the fuel/damage levels of team vehicles without actually getting into the driver's seat? My driver didn't say a word, we ran out of fuel and he just sat there and did nothing :rolleyes:

Also, I had a medic assigned to my team but when someone got injured they just stand there doing nothing, unless I stand over that injured person and tell them to heal they just lay there and die with the medic standing 5 feet away. Is there any way to get medics to heal teammates without having to go over and interact with the injured person?

Finally, when you're able to buy vehicles in later missions, is there any way to buy a vehicle without any crew? In Badlands I bought an APC for my main squad, it came with two crew members. Didn't know what to do with them so I sent them over to the church :p. But then that takes away two people from my team (12 members maximum, isn't it?), I also found that if they got killed their vehicle would vanish or burst into flames.

You should check out Command Menu 6.

Space-6 brings up a menu that order medics to heal people, non-medics to administer first aid, and passengers to switch vehicle positions.

Hi. That's weird, I heard that somewhere else too. But on that menu, all I get are options for that member to reload, sit down, and everything else is 'open door' or 'close door' - basically it seems to tell them to open or close the doors of any building within 500m or so.

I'm pressing [F2] to select my 2nd unit and then pressing [6] to bring up the action menu but don't see anything like that, I'm getting basically:

1 - Open doors

2 - Close doors

3 - Open doors

4 - Close doors

5 - Open doors

6 - Close doors

7 - Open doors

8 - Close doors

9 - Gear

10 - Sit

It varies a bit depending on who I've selected and what I'm pointing to but there's nothing there about getting in vehicles or getting my medic to heal anyone :confused:

Pressing space first just selects all units together, doesn't it?

I'm playing the SP campaign, not sure if that makes any difference?

EDIT: Aha, got it :). Went back to the training missions, I get what you mean now. Looks like that person has to be in the vehicle alone for it to work properly.
