Is there a way to "stack" commands?

Recommended Posts

Would like to be able to issue a string of commands to AI such as "#1 move there","#2 move there" , "#3 move there" then issue a "Go"command rather than having them all start off one after the other as soon as I issue the command to them.

Is there a way??

With high command module, you can assign multiple waypoints by holding down CTRL and left clicking. I don't think you can "stack" commands for units unfortunately. It'd be cool if you could.

i have never heard of any way to do it, but i think it might me interesting. I imagine a scenario where you stack your orders, then use radio alpha to activate the commands all at the same time.

Maybe play SWAT 4 :)

Would be good for in villages and room clearing. I dont think stacking etc realy works in the type of battles in Arma though.

You could use voice command software and stack your favorites under one word commands to then unleash a list of keyboard strokes.

I do this when under fire, I have "evasive action" as a word command and then this triggers a list of key options to open fire (just in case I have them as hold fire at the time)/go prone/formation line in one shot. You could make up as many for scenarios as you like really, so long as you remember them all.

Another angle is if you have your team singles off via color or high command you can have them set to wait/time out as a waypoint (then after lay out the waypoints you want them to execute). Or have teams not under high command just colored set to halt/stop then tell them what you want, so they are not on the move as you do so ... but just workarounds really.

Ahaaa..now there's a cool idea...never thought of that.

Have to give it some thought but it should do as a work around...
