Scrub 0 Posted October 25, 2009 hah, nice one with the boar. I completely understand. I had about the same thing happen when supporting an assault on a town in a AH-6. After a strike I came in close, about 5-7m altitude, to check the damage which looked complete. One infantryman was running from the battle, about to go around a corner, so I gunned him down with the mini's.. Then SOMETHING bounded toward me (away from the impacts) fast, zigzagging, and aggressive! I rather freaked, trying to gun it down, not crash into buildings, trying to get altitude and get away. Finally a lucky shot downed the thing. I landed and found out it was a stinkin' rabbit. I lost it over a bunny... *sigh* I love this game. :)
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted October 25, 2009 LOL! Being downed in Arma2 by a rabbit :D But yeah, in highly nerveous games they have scared the crap out of me too :) I remember in the ancient days I played Unreal Tournament. There was this one guy that was able to completely screw me around, without firing a shot. He would win over me like -13 - 0, and all he did was toss me weapons while I was hammering on the fire button rounding a corner chasing him. Overturning with a new rocket launcher in hand, well, you'll guess the rest.
special_air_service 10 Posted October 26, 2009 This is not a game , even this isn't a simulator , BUT THIS IS A REAL WAR What a spectacular masterpiece had Bohemia Interactive ever created
Spindry69 0 Posted October 26, 2009 A couple of things I appreciate about Arma 2 are the editor, how you can just drop things in and test play insantly. There's so much longevity just there. Also the the ammount of customization with game settings, difficulty and graphics coupled with the editor and mods makes this the ultimate millitary sand pit. Arma 2's graphics, UI and movement are a bit clunky but it wins because despite these problems because nothing else offers the same ammount of realism and depth. SASrecon 0 Posted October 26, 2009 I think since i got this game (preordered without regret) i've probably spend >three weeks exploring island and unit mods just in the editor... oh god i have too much time on my hands :p I love pretty much every single aspect of this game, another brilliant bit is the commitment of the community and BIS itself, the mods are awesome and the patches mean we get free updates to the game, sometimes including content =) (such as the 1.08 and 1.14 patches in ARMA1) My ONLY concern with this game is the AI's pathfinding, but what can you expect there must be something wrong when you've got over 1mill objects in an island and extremely detailed objects. Not even the performance and crashes bother me anymore because since the latest 1.04 beta, i dont have any of those problems :D
jw custom 56 Posted October 26, 2009 Good things about ArmA 2.... well there's so many, so many that they overweight the bad things tons of times. For me the editor and playing homemade missions coop are the main reason for getting ArmA 2... and it bloody rocks
