I first thought I'd release a mission back.

However since it's a very painstaking task to get these done I'm gonna open up this thread to release them separately.

First release:

Description:

Prince of Sahrani has been on vacation escorted by a US recon team.Sudden artillery shelling abrupts the day and all hell breaks loose.

Partisans have fortified themselves on Isla del Vassal and Isla del Vida where they bombard us from a distance.

Team Alpha will escort the prince to safety and then join team bravo for an assault to take care of the threat.

ps: Due to conversion some height adjustments in bunkers are a bit off... no big deal really.

Right. First:

This was the first mission I made for A1 when it came out but I've changed it a tad.

It's got a new revive of course and new F2 template with construction interface (only defensive ones)

co15 Operation Locust

Story/background: This is a plain and simple suicide mission.Make sure to write down your last will and then you are off to assault Corazol. Bay area is harassed by enemy artillery which was discovered by our now MIA recon team.... You must eliminate town commander believed to be hiding in base HQ. Then evac with choppers back home. You are backed by two gunships which will draw enemy fire on the way to LZ

There are at least some rpt errors I could not define but feel free to guide me on those and all criticism is welcome as long as it's constructive.

Awesome. I'll try them out. Converting ArmA1 missions must be a pain, especially ones with a lot of custom scripts.

Yeah would be good to share your experience VanhA.

At least script packages like revive, UPS, etc should be rather easy to replace if available.

They mainly need (re)configuration after all. Or not?

Well, sort of.

The hardest work done by scripters is mainly functional but some of the height settings are a bit off and one must reconfigure all the objectives etc to suit the new system. And whilst converting, why not try to correct some earlier mistakes?

I ain't no wizard here, I just follow the line of Tarantino: "I make missions what I'd like to play" :rolleyes: Sounds maybe egoistic but these missions really co-exist with this forum and OFP which engulfed me in mission making in first place years ago.

My sincere thanks to all regardless if you like my work or not.

I was checking out your repository, are all the missions in there compatible with arma2 via the CAA1 mod?

I have had a look briefly at the missions on ARMA2 as finished ones can be done on our server.

I have played VanhA's maps many a time in ArmA1 and I can only give a lot of praise for the effort he puts into them.

The maps I have made are basic but getting there with scripts, mainly due to help of mr. vanhA.

The missions are great and will come back with feedback here when I play them

Drive the humvee to Hunapu before it explodes

Story/background:

We had some leave and decided to come to Arcadia to have a new paint job on the car.

We got deceived and our humvee got rigged with a timebomb!

Luckily we know somebody in Hunapu who can disarm it.

Drive fast soldier, it's a long way and the clock is ticking.....not to mention the possible hostiles on the way...

Engineers are able to repair the vehicle if needed. But only the guy in Hunapu can disarm the bomb. Have fun.

  • IED by Jeevz
  • vehicletracker by Blanco
  • repair script by Myke

There's an variable issue with ied if the timer goes off but it works regardless.

This is a good way to see around Sahrani. I added extra 100 secs for timer from the original version. A good driver can just speed through this but unexpected things can happen...

Engineers can repair the humvee when necessary
