nra4ever 0 Posted March 29, 2002 I seem to have found a networking bug in Flashpoint (latest patched version). Player A types in IP address of host player B. Â Player A gets to Player B's cable router, and is routed to Player B' PC. Â Connection is established, but Player A game tries to figure out the real IP of Player B's PC. Â Player A gets IP for local network, which is different than real Internet IP. Â Player A game switches to that local IP and gets dropped from game. Once a connection is established, why would the game try to figure out what IP address it connected to? Â This means you can't host from behind a cable router. Â This is retarded. The IP address is good, I can see people connecting. And I know it's using the local address, because it displays it to the user in an error message, and it's my local IP address instead of the IP address they typed in.
